Betnovate 0.1% (Betamethasone)

Informazioni generali
Coreg è un farmaco alfa e beta-bloccante utilizzato per trattare l'ipertensione e l'insufficienza cardiaca. Coreg viene anche utilizzato dopo un attacco di cuore per migliorare le possibilità di sopravvivenza. Ridurre l'alta pressione arteriosa aiuta a prevenire ictus, attacchi cardiaci, e problemi renali. Questo farmaco agisce bloccando l'azione di alcune sostanze chimiche naturali presenti nel nostro corpo (quali epinefrina) che interessano il cuore e i vasi sanguigni. Questo effetto riduce la frequenza cardiaca, la pressione sanguigna e la tensione sul cuore.
Indicazioni
Assumere Coreg esattamente come prescritto dal medico. Prendere questo farmaco per via orale a stomaco pieno solitamente due volte al giorno. La dose iniziale raccomandata per il trattamento dell'insufficienza cardiaca congestizia è di 3,125 mg, due volte al giorno. La dose iniziale raccomandata a seguito di un attacco di cuore è di 6,25 mg, due volte al giorno. Non si deve interrompere l'assunzione di Coreg senza prima averne parlato con il medico. La sospensione del farmaco aumenta bruscamente il rischio di gravi effetti collaterali.
Precauzioni
Prima iniziare il trattamento con Coreg informare il proprio medico se si hanno: allergia ai farmaci beta-bloccanti, asma, bradicardia sinusale, grave insufficienza cardiaca, difficoltà respiratorie (bronchite, enfisema), diabete, problemi di circolazione sanguigna, malattie renali, feocromocitoma o miastenia. Questo farmaco può provocare vertigini e sonnolenza. Non guidare o svolgere attività che richiedono attenzione.
Controindicazioni
Non utilizzare Coreg in caso di gravidanza o allattamento o se si è allergici a qualsiasi componente del farmaco.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza se si hanno:gonfiore del viso, battito cardiaco lento o irregolare, intorpidimento, orticaria, dolore al petto, gonfiore del viso, labbra, pelle pallida, glicemia alta, visione offuscata, aumento della minzione, secchezza delle fauci, respiro affannoso. Meno gravi effetti collaterali di Coreg possono includere: tosse, dolori articolari, vomito, diarrea, sonnolenza, vertigini, nausea, diminuzione del desiderio sessuale, impotenza. Se si notano altri effetti non elencati sopra, contattare il medico.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Si informi il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso, in particolare riguardo a:narcotici (propossifene, metadone), farmaci che regolano il ritmo per il cuore (chinidina, digossina, flecainide), inibitori MAO (selegilina, tranilcipromina, fenelzina, isocarbossazide), farmaci per l'HIV o l' AIDS (ritonavir, delavirdina ), medicine per il cuore o per la pressione sanguigna (clonidina, nifedipina, verapamil), fluconazolo, rifampicina, l'insulina, cimetidina, la ciclosporina, antidepressivi (duloxetina, paroxetina, amitriptilina, fluoxetina), farmaci per il trattamento di nausea e vomito (metoclopramide, prometazina). Si noti inoltre che l'interazione fra due farmaci non necessariamente deve portare ad una sospensione dell'utilizzo di uno dei due farmaci. Si informi il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso compresi i farmaci da prescrizione,quelli da banco e i prodotti erboristici.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio sono:svenimenti, vertigini, difficoltà respiratorie, convulsioni, battito cardiaco irregolare, debolezza.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 59-86 gradi F (15-30 gradi C) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità. Conservare Coreg in un contenitore stretto.
