Informations générales
Flonase est un médicament contenant de la fluticasone corticostéroïde. Il empêche la libération des substances dans le corps qui provoquent une inflammation. Il est utilisé pour traiter les symptômes nasaux tels que la congestion, les éternuements et l'écoulement nasal causé par les allergies saisonnières ou celles qui durent pendant toute l'année, l'asthme, l'eczéma, le psoriasis.
Posologie
Utilisez Flonase exactement comme il a été prescrit pour vous. N’utilisez pas le médicament en plus grandes quantités ou plus longtemps que recommandé par votre médecin. Il peut être aussi sous forme de spray nasal, d’aérosol pour inhalation et de poudre pour inhalation.
Précautions
Si vous avez des problèmes avec la glande surrénale, vous devez être très prudent en prenant le médicament. Évitez de l'utiliser si vous avez une tuberculose pulmonaire. Flonase peut diminuer le nombre des cellules sanguines qui aident à combattre les infections. Évitez d'être près des personnes qui sont malades ou qui ont des infections. Consultez votre médecin au sujet du traitement préventif si vous êtes exposé à la varicelle ou à la rougeole. Ces conditions peuvent être graves ou même mortelles chez les personnes qui utilisent ce médicament. Utilisez le spray nasal Flonase aux intervalles réguliers.
Contre-indications
Évitez d'utiliser le médicament si vous avez une réaction allergique, de l'acné, la dermatite, la gale, des lésions cutanées d’origine bactérienne, virale et fongique, si vous êtes enceinte ou si ce sont des enfants de moins d’un an et ceux de moins de 4 ans.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez de l'urticaire, l’enflure du visage, le saignement de nez continu, des plaies dans le nez qui ne guérissent pas, une allergie, de la fièvre, frissons, des symptômes de grippe, un écoeurement ou des nausées.
Interaction des médicaments
Avant d'utiliser Flonase, avisez votre médecin si vous prenez l'un des médicaments suivants: la prednisone et la dexaméthasone, certains médicaments antifongiques tels que le kétoconazole ou des médicaments anti-VIH tels que le ritonavir.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence si vous pensez que vous avez utilisé trop de médicament. Les symptômes du surdosage peuvent inclure le syndrome de Cushing accompagné du gain de poids.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante à l'abri de l'humidité et de la lumière. Gardez-le hors de portée des enfants et loin des animaux domestiques.
