Ceftin (Cefuroxime)

Ceftin è un antibiotico che appartiene alla famiglia dei farmaci noti come cefalosporine. Il farmaco viene utilizzato nel trattamento delle infezioni causate dai batteri. Viene anche utilizzato nel trattamento delle infezioni della gola ,dell'orecchio, del seno, dei polmoni e della pelle e per trattare la gonorrea e le infezioni a trasmissione sessuale.
Indicazioni
Precauzione
Prima di iniziare a prendere Ceftin informare il proprio medico se si hanno:malattie epatiche o renali, malattie intestinali, allergia alle cefalosporine o alla penicillina o altre allergie. Ceftin può provocare vertigini e sonnolenza. Non guidare o svolgere attività che richiedono attenzione. Le persone anziane possono essere più sensibili agli effetti collaterali del farmaco.
Controindicazioni
Non prendere Ceftin se si è allergici alla cefuroxima ,ad uno qualsiasi degli ingredienti del farmaco, ad uno qualsiasi degli antibiotici cefalosporine o in caso di gravidanza o allattamento.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza se si hanno:dolori addominali, diarrea, vertigini, cefalea, nausea, vomito, febbre, eruzioni cutanee, prurito, orticaria, prurito vaginale, mancanza di respiro, gonfiore delle mani o dei piedi, perdita di appetito, sonnolenza. Se si notano altri effetti non elencati sopra, contattare il medico.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Si informi il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso, in particolare riguardo a:diuretici (furosemide, bumetanide, metolazone), antiacidi (carbonato di calcio), H2 bloccanti (famotidina, ranitidina, cimetidina), inibitori della pompa protonica (rabeprazolo, esomeprazolo, omeprazolo), tifo orale vaccino, probenecid. Si noti inoltre che l'interazione fra due farmaci non necessariamente deve portare ad una sospensione dell'utilizzo di uno dei due farmaci. Si informi il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso compresi i farmaci da prescrizione,quelli da banco e i prodotti erboristici.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio sono:convulsioni, diarrea o nausea.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 59-77 gradi F (15-25 ° C) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità. Non conservare in bagno. Conservare lontano dalla portata di bambini ed animali domestici.
