La Doxyciclina è un antibiotico derivato dal gruppo delle Tetracicline. E' usato per curare differenti tipi di infezioni batteriche come la gonorrea, le infezioni da clamidie ,le infezioni del tratto urinario,l'acne, le parodontiti (gengiviti),macchie ed ematomi/bozzi.
Indicazioni
E' consigliato prendere il farmaco con un bicchiere pieno d'acqua dopo i pasti. Il dosaggio totale va diviso in due tranche e dev'essere preso in 12 ore. Non superare la dose prevista.
Precauzioni
Le radiazioni UV prese troppo a lungo durante il trattamento e per i 4-5 giorni successivi sono sconsigliate. Se avete intenzione di assumere Doxyciclina per un lungo trattamento è necessario un controllo regolare del contenuto delle cellule del sangue periferico,un test di funzionalità epatica e una determinazione del livello di azoto e di urea nel siero.
Controindicazioni
Non usare il farmaco se si è allergici ad esso o ad un qualunque tipo di antibiotico delle tetracicline,in caso di gravidanza o allattamento,se si soffre di leucopenia,porfiria o di grave insufficienza epatica. E' sconsigliato l'uso di Doxyciclina ai bambini al di sotto dei 9 anni.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Mal di testa ,vertigini,forte dolore alla parte superiore dello stomaco,vista offuscata,febbre,brividi,dolori muscolari,rosse eruzioni cutanee,pelle pallida o ingiallita,urine di colore scuro,perdita d'appetito,ecchimosi e sanguinamento sono effetti indesiderati comuni. In presenza di uno di questi sintomi contattare il proprio dottore.
Interazione farmacologica
Doxyciclina non può essere usata con alluminio,magnesio,antiacidi a base di calcio,minerali,Warfarina(Warfarin),Fenitoina(Dilantin),Carbamazepina(Tegretol) e barbiturici.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose mancata non appena è possibile. Se è quasi tempo della dose successiva basta saltarla e ritornare al vostro programma.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver preso una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi di sovradosaggio sono nausea persistente,vomito e diarrea.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 59-77 gradi F(15-25 gradi C°) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità,bambini ed animali domestici. Non usare dopo la data di scadenza.
