Flagyl est un antibiotique antiprotozoaire et antibactérien utilisé dans le traitement des infections bactériennes. Il peut traiter des infections du vagin, de la peau, de l’estomac, des voies respiratoires et des articulations.
Posologie
Il est recommandé de prendre le médicament suivant strictement la prescription du médecin. Prenez-le avec un grand verre d'eau.
Précautions
Avant de commencer votre traitement avec Flagyl, veuillez informer votre médecin si vous avez l'un des états suivants: grossesse, problèmes d'estomac, du foie ou des intestins, de l'anémie, une leucopénie, de l’épilepsie ou d'autres troubles nerveux.
Contre-indications
Les patients présentant une sensibilité à tout autre composant du médicament doivent éviter de le prendre.
Effets secondaires possibles
Des douleurs abdominales, des nausées, de l’anorexie, des vomissements, de la diarrhée, des maux de tête, du vertige, de l'allergie, et la leucopénie sont les effets secondaires fréquents. Des effets secondaires plus graves peuvent inclure des convulsions et des troubles nerveux entraînant un engourdissement et des picotements des extrémités. Arrêtez la prise du médicament et contactez votre médecin si vous constatez le moindre signe de ces effets.
Interaction des médicaments
Flagyl ne doit pas être utilisé conjointement avec l'amprénavir, du disulphiram, des inhibiteurs de la coagulation à action indirecte et des myorelaxants. Eviter la consommation d'alcool.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose omise dès que possible. S'il est presque l’heure de la prochaine prise, il suffit de sauter la dose omise et de revenir à votre horaire de prise habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez avoir pris une surdose du médicament, demandez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage apparaissent sous forme de nausées, de vomissements, d’étourdissements, de perte d'équilibre ou de coordination, d’engourdissements et de picotements ou de convulsions.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 59-77 °F (15-25 °C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité, hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques. A ne pas utiliser après la date de péremption.
