Minocin (Minocycline Hydrochloride)
Informations générales
Minocin est un antibiotique tétracycline qui combat les bactéries dans le corps. Il est le plus couramment utilisé pour traiter certains types d'infections cutanées, des infections urinaires, des infections de la vésicule biliaire et des infections des voies respiratoires telles que la bronchite, la pneumonie et la sinusite.
Posologie
Prenez Minocin conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin. Prenez ce médicament avec un verre plein d'eau. Prenez Minocin avec un estomac vide, au moins 1 heure avant ou 2 heures après un repas. La dose habituelle recommandée pour un adulte est de 100 mg ou 200 mg pour la dose initiale, suivie de 100 mg toutes les 12 heures.
Précautions
Avant d'utiliser Minocin informez votre médecin si vous avez une maladie hépatique ou rénale, l'asthme, l’allergie aux sulfites, si vous utilisez l’antibiotique de la famille des pénicillines(ampicilline, oxacilline, dicloxacilline). Les médicaments antibiotiques peuvent provoquer la diarrhée, qui peut être un signe d'une nouvelle infection. Si vous avez une diarrhée qui est aqueuse ou sanglante, arrêtez de prendre la minocycline. Ce médicament peut détériorer votre pensée ou les réactions. Soyez prudent si vous conduisez un véhicule ou faites tout ce qui vous oblige à être vigilant.
Contre-indications
Vous ne devriez pas prendre ce médicament si vous êtes allergique à la minocycline ou à d'autres antibiotiques tétracyclines, si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez. Minocin n'est pas recommandé aux enfants de moins de 13 ans.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez l'urticaire, des crampes d'estomac, une peau pâle ou jaunie, une perte d'appétit, la confusion, une difficulté respiratoire, une diarrhée, un gonflement, des douleurs musculaires, une fièvre, des douleurs thoraciques, des troubles de vision. Les effets secondaires moins graves peuvent inclure: des démangeaisons vaginales, des étourdissements, des maux d'estomac, des douleurs musculaires, une diarrhée légère.
Interaction des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments que vous utilisez, notamment: les antibiotiques, le paracétamol, les anti-inflammatoires non-stéroïdiens (ibuprofène, célécoxib, diclofénac), des médicaments contre les troubles du coeur ou de la pression artérielle (énalapril, ramipril, lisinopril), le méthotrexate, l'isotrétinoïne, la méthylergonovine, l’ergotamine, des médicaments anti-cholestérol (lovastatine, simvastatine, atorvastatine), l’anticoagulant (warfarine).
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament, cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage sont la diarrhée, des nausées, des vomissements.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 68-77 degrés F (20-25 degrés C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques. Ne conservez pas les médicaments dans la salle de bain. Conservez-les dans un emballage étanche.
