Informazioni generali
Zyvoxid comprende un linezolid ed è un antibiotico che combatte i batteri presenti nel corpo. Il farmaco viene somministrato per trattare diversi tipi di infezioni batteriche come: polmonite, infezioni della pelle, e altre infezioni che risultano resistenti ad altri antibiotici.
Indicazioni
Utilizzare Zyvox esattamente come gli è stato prescritto dal medico. Assumere il farmaco a stomaco vuoto o pieno con intervalli di 12 ore . Anche se i sintomi sono migliorati senza che l'infezione sia completamente risolta non smettere di prendere il farmaco. Se,dopo 10 giorni di trattamento,le condizioni di salute non sono migliorate,rivolgersi al proprio medico.
Precauzioni
Informare il proprio medico se si è in cura da più di 28 giorni e si sono manifestate le seguenti condizioni: vertigini, stanchezza, bassa temperatura, battito cardiaco irregolare, problemi di respirazione, sonnolenza, mal di pancia, problemi agli occhi, repentini cambiamenti d'umore.Si informi il proprio medico anche se ci si cura con antidepressivi SSRI, farmaco che possono causare sonnolenza, euforia, vertigini, sudorazione, febbre. Evitare di assumere cibi con un alto contenuto di tiramina. Evitare di utilizzare il farmaco in caso di gravidanza ed in caso di allergie, malattie del sangue o infezioni croniche.
Controindicazioni
Se si è allergici ad uno qualsiasi dei componenti del farmaco non utilizzare Zyvox.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Zyvox può causare diarrea, mal di testa, vomito, conati di vomito, sonnolenza, eruzioni cutanee, sanguinamento, difficoltà nel percepire i colori o prurito. Chiamare il proprio medico per un consiglio medico circa gli effetti collaterali.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Durante il trattamento con linezolid, non smettere di utilizzare altri farmaci a meno che il medico ti dica di farlo. Informare il proprio medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso,in particolare riguardo a : apraclonidina, brimonidina, buspirone, bethanidine, bupropione, carbamazepina, entacapone, destrometorfano, prodotti erboristici, papaverina, meperidina, sibutramina, antidepressivi SSRI, tolcapone, simpaticomimetici, antidepressivi triciclici, altri farmaci per la chemioterapia , gli inibitori della MAO, prodotti per la tosse o per il raffredore e farmaci per la dieta.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmacioa temperatura ambiente tra i 20-25 C (68-77 F).
