O que é este medicamento?
ITRACONAZOL é um antifúngico. É usado no tratamento de infecções fúngicas causadas pelos fungos nas unhas e no corpo.
O que devo dizer ao meu médico antes de tomar este medicamento?
Ele precisa de saber se tem alguma destas condições:
- doenças cardíacas, incluindo angina ou insuficiência cardíaca
- doença renal ou está a fazer diálise
- doença hepática
- doença pulmonar
- reacções alérgicas ao itracozanol, outros medicamentos antifúngicos, alimentos, corantes ou conservantes
- se está grávida ou a tentar engravidar
- se está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Tome este medicamento com um copo de água. Tome-o após uma refeição completa. Se sofre de acloridria, está a tomar antagonistas dos receptores H2 ou outros supressores do ácido gástrico, deve tomar este medicamento com uma bebida de cola. Tome as doses em intervalos regulares. Não tome este medicamento mais do que o indicado. Não pare de o tomar excepto por indicações do seu médico.
Fale com o seu pediatra quanto à utilização deste medicamento em crianças. Cuidados especiais podem ser necessários.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior ao prescrito contacte o Centro de Informação Antivenenos ou os Serviços de Urgência de imediato.
NOTA: Este medicamento é apenas para si. Não o partilhe com outros.
Que fazer se falhei uma toma?
Se falhou uma toma, tome-a o mais cedo possível. Se estiver quase na hora de tomar a próxima dose, tome apenas essa. Não tome doses duplas ou extras.
O que pode interferir com este medicamento?
Não tome este medicamento com nenhum dos seguintes:
- alfuzosina
- cisaprida
- esporão do centeio como dihidroergotamina, ergonovina, ergotamina, metilergonovina
- nevirapina
- pimozida
- levedura de arroz vermelho
- sirolimus
- alguns medicamentos para a ansiedade ou para dormir como alprazolam, clorazepato, flurazepam, midazolam, triazolam
- alguns medicamentos para o tratamento do cancro
- alguns medicamentos para o colesterol como atorvastatina, cerivastatina, lovastatina, sinvastatina
- alguns medicamentos para o coração como conivaptan, dofetilida, eplerenone, quinidina, ranolazine
Este medicamento pode também interagir com os seguintes:
- medicamentos antivirais para o HIV/SIDA
- cilostazol
- ciclosporina
- eritromicina
- medicamentos para problemas estomacais como cimetidina, famotidina, omeprazol, lansoprazol
- medicamentos para a tuberculose como isoniazida, INH, rifabutina, rifampina e rifapentina
- outros medicamentos para infecções fúngicas
- fenitoína, fosfenitoína
- alguns medicamentos para os diabetes
Esta lista pode não descrever todas as interacções possíveis. Dê ao seu médico uma lista de todos os medicamentos, ervas, medicamentos de venda livre, ou suplementos dietético que use. Diga-lhe também se fuma, bebe álcool, ou usa drogas ilegais. Alguns destes podem interagir com o seu medicamento.
Que cuidados devo ter enquanto tomar este medicamento?
Visite o seu médico para check ups. Informe o seu médico se os sintomas não começarem a melhorar ou se estes se agravarem. Algumas infecções fúngicas podem demorar várias semanas ou meses a curar.
Evite medicamentos para o seu estômago como antiácidos, anticolinérgicos e bloqueadores de ácido, pelo menos duas horas depois de tomar este medicamento.
Que efeitos secundários posso notar com a toma deste medicamento?
Efeitos secundários que deve reportar ao seu médico de imediato:
- reacções alérgicas como erupções cutâneas, comichão ou urticária, inchaço da face, lábios ou língua
- problemas respiratórios
- expectoração ou muco
- urina escura
- batimentos cardíaco acelerado ou irregular
- gripe ou mal-estar geral, sintomas semelhantes
- fezes descoloradas
- perda de apetite
- náusea, vómitos
- dor, formigueiro, dormência nas mãos ou pés
- vermelhidão, bolhas, descamação ou afrouxamento da pele, incluindo no interior da boca
- dor supra abdominal
- súbito aumento de peso
- inchaço nos pés, tornozelos ou pernas
- invulgarmente fraco ou cansado
- amarelecimento dos olhos ou pele
Efeitos secundários que normalmente não requerem atenção médica (diga ao seu médico ou profissional de saúde se persistem, ou se são incómodos):
- diarreia
- tonturas
- enxaqueca
- perturbações gástricas ou estômago inchado

Onde devo guardar o meu medicamento?
Mantenha-o fora do alcance das crianças.
