Informations générales
Aralen est un médicament antipaludique. Le médicament agit en endommageant leurs ADN. Il est utilisé pour traiter et prévenir le paludisme. Le médicament est également utilisé pour traiter les infections causées par les amibes.
Posologie
Prenez chaque dose avec un verre plein d'eau ou avec du repas. La dose doit être différente selon le type d'infection. Pour le traitement du paludisme chez les adultes, la posologie est de 500 mg prise le même jour de chaque semaine. Chez les enfants, la dose initiale est de 5 mg par kg de poids corporel, la dose initiale de 10 mg / kg doit être répartie en deux prises avec une pause de six heures. Pour le traitement de la crise aiguë, chez les adultes, la dose recommandée est de 1 g suivie par un supplément de 500 mg après de six à huit heures et une dose unique de 500 mg pendant deux jours cumulatifs. Prenez Aralen conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin.
Précautions
Si vous utilisez le médicament pendant une longue période, il peut provoquer des problèmes avec votre sang ou l'asthénie des muscles, une vision floue ou brumeuse. Soyez prudent lorsque vous conduisez un véhicule ou effectuez d'autres activités dangereuses. Consultez votre médecin pour un avis médical si les symptômes ne s'améliorent pas.
Contre-indications
Avant de prendre ce médicament, avisez votre médecin si vous avez une réaction allergique à ce produit, une maladie du foie ou des reins, un déficit en glucose-6-phosphate déshydrogénase, des problèmes avec le système nerveux, le diabète ou si vous souffrez de l'alcoolisme chronique. Si le médicament est utilisé pour le traitement du paludisme, la décision peut être prise que les avantages l'emportent sur les risques. Consultez votre médecin en conséquence.
Effets secondaires possibles
Aralen peut provoquer une allergie, des difficultés respiratoires, des troubles visuels tels qu'une vision floue, une vision brumeuse, une perte d’audition ou des bourdonnements dans les oreilles, la diarrhée, un écoeurement, des maux au ventre, des nausées ou une perte d'appétit, une faiblesse musculaire ou une éruption cutanée. Interaction des médicaments
Aralen peut interagir avec l'ampicilline, les antiacides qui contiennent du magnésium, la cimétidine, la cyclosporine ou le kaolin. Ne prenez pas des médicaments sur ordonnance ou en vente libre, y compris les vitamines, les minéraux, et des produits à base de plantes, sans en informer au préalable votre médecin.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence si vous pensez que vous avez utilisé trop de médicament. Soyez prudent puisque la détresse respiratoire peut aboutir à la mort pendant deux heures après la prise. Les symptômes du surdosage peuvent inclure des étourdissements, un écoeurement, des nausées, une absence de contrôle, la saisie, les modifications de la vue ou le coma.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante entre 20-25 C (68-77 F). Conservez-le à l'écart de l'humidité et de la lumière. Gardez-le hors de portée des enfants et loin des animaux domestiques.
