ROXITROMICINA é um antibiótico macrólideo usado no tratamento de vários tipos de infecção bacteriana, incluindo infecções da altas e baixas vias respiratórias, pele e tecidos moles, trato genito-urinário (incluindo infecções transmitidas sexualmente, com excepção da gonorreia); manutenção da prevenção da febre maculosa às pessoas expostas a indivíduos infectados.
O que devo dizer ao meu médico antes de tomar este medicamento?
Ele precisa de saber se tem alguma destas condições:
- asma
- problemas hepáticos ou renais
- uma reacção alérgica anormal ao Rulide, outros medicamentos, alimentos, corantes, ou conservantes
- se está grávida ou a tentar engravidar
- se está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Use a Roxitromicina conforme indicado pelo seu médico. Este medicamento deve ser tomado por via oral, com um copo de água. Se tiver dificuldade em engolir o comprimido, pode esmagá-lo ou mastigá-lo com um pouco de água.
Fale com o seu pediatra quanto à utilização deste medicamento em crianças. Cuidados especiais podem ser necessários.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior ao prescrito contacte o Centro de Informação Antivenenos ou os Serviços de Urgência de imediato.
NOTA: Este medicamento é apenas para si. Não o partilhe com outros.
Que fazer se falhei uma toma?
Se falhar uma toma, tome-a assim que puder. Se estiver quase na altura de tomar outra dose, tome apenas essa dose. Nunca tome duas doses deste medicamento.
O que pode interferir com este medicamento?
- teofilina
- varfarina

Que efeitos secundários posso notar com a toma deste medicamento?
Efeitos secundários que normalmente não requerem atenção médica (diga ao seu médico ou profissional de saúde se persistem, ou se são incómodos):
- diarreia
- dores de cabeça
- tonturas
- náuseas
- urticária
- vertigens
- vómitos

Onde devo guardar o meu medicamento?
Mantenha-o fora do alcance das crianças.
Guarde este medicamento em lugar seco, a uma temperatura ambiente entre os 20 e 25 graus Centígrados (68 e 77 graus Fahrenheit). Mantenha este medicamento afastado do calor, humidade e luz solar. Não guarde este medicamento na casa-de-banho. Mantenha-o sempre bem fechado numa embalagem estanque e opaca. Deite fora os comprimidos não utilizados após expirar o prazo de validade do medicamento.
