Aciclovir è un farmaco antivirale. Rallenta la crescita e la diffusione del virus dell'herpes, in modo che il corpo può combattere l'infezione. Aciclovir non cura l'herpes, ma diminuisce i sintomi dell'infezione. Viene usato nel trattamento delle infezioni causate da virus herpes. Malattie causate da virus quali l'herpes genitale, herpes labiale, herpes zoster e varicella.
Indicazioni
Prendere ogni dose costantemente, da due a cinque volte al giorno con un bicchiere pieno d'acqua indifferentemente a stomaco pieno o vuoto. Agitare la sospensione orale (liquido) appena prima di misurare il quantitativo per una dose. Per essere sicuro di assumere la dose corretta, misurare il liquido con un cucchiaio dosatore graduato o con il coperchio del flacone del medicinale.
Precauzioni
Informare il proprio medico se si hanno particolari allergie, malattie renali o in caso di gravidanza. Inoltre informare il medico di tutti i farmaci che si prendono.
Controindicazioni
Le controindicazioni si hanno nel momento in cui si è allergici al aciclovir o valaciclovir.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Chiamare immediatamente l’assistenza medica d’emergenza se si presenza una reazione allergica, eruzione cutanea, tumore della pelle, disturbi vari, deliri, spargimento di sangue, urine scure, mal di testa, diarrea o di malattia, ingiallimento degli occhi e della pelle, gonfiore del viso, labbra e lingua, febbre.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Ci sono interazioni negative che possono verificarsi quando aciclovir viene combinato con Fenitoina (Fosphenytoin) e aciclovir, con Probenecid e Tenofovir. Fare attenzione alle interazioni farmacologiche di questo farmaco.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere la medicina due volte contemporaneamente per compensare la dose dimenticata.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto un’ overdose del farmaco chiamare immediatamente l’assistenza medica di emergenza.i sintomi di sovradosaggio possono includere convulsioni ed allucinazioni.
Conservazione
Conservare i farmaci a temperatura ambiente tra 15 ° C a 25 ° C (59 ° F a 77 ° F). Conservare lontano da umidità e luce. Tenere fuori dalla portata dei bambini e lontano da animali domestici.
