O que devo dizer ao meu médico antes de tomar este medicamento?
Ele precisa saber se sofre de algum dos seguintes problemas:
- qualquer doença crónica
- diabetes
- dificuldade em urinar
- glaucoma
- doença cardíaca
- doença renal
- doença hepática
- doença pulmonar
- uma reacção anormal à hidroxizina, cetirizine, outros medicamentos, alimentos, corantes ou conservantes
- se está grávida ou a tentar engravidar
- se está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Este medicamento deve ser tomado por via oral, com um copo de água. Pode tomar este medicamento com as refeições ou em jejum. Tome as doses prescritas a intervalos regulares, conforme indicado pelo seu médico. Não tome mais doses deste medicamento do que as indicadas pelo seu médico.
Fale com o seu pediatra quanto à utilização deste medicamento em crianças. Apesar deste medicamento poder ser prescrito, em determinadas circunstâncias, a crianças a partir dos 6 anos de idade, é necessário fazê-lo tomando as devidas precauções.
Pacientes com mais de 65 anos de idade podem ter reacções mais fortes a este medicamento e necessitar de dosagens inferiores.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior ao prescrito contacte o Centro de Informação Antivenenos ou os Serviços de Urgência de imediato.
NOTA:Este medicamento é apenas para si. Não o partilhe com outros.
que fazer se falhar uma toma?
Se falhar uma toma, tome-a assim que puder. Se estiver quase na altura de tomar outra dose, tome apenas essa dose. Nunca tome duas doses deste medicamento.
O que pode interferir com este medicamento?
- álcool
- barbitúricos para o sono ou ataques
- medicamentos para a gripe ou alergias
- medicamentos para a depressão, ansiedade ou perturbações emocionais
- analgésicos
- sedativos
- relaxantes musculares
Esta lista pode não incluir todas as possíveis interacções. Informe o seu médico sobre os medicamentos que esteja a tomar, incluindo medicamentos sem necessidade de prescrição médica, suplementos alimentares, produtos naturais ou dietéticos. Que cuidados devo ter enquanto tomar este medicamento?
Informe o seu médico se os seus sintomas não melhorarem.
Poderá sentir-se sonolento ou com tonturas. Não conduza ou utilize qualquer tipo de máquinas, ou desenvolva qualquer tipo de actividade similar enquanto não souber até que ponto este medicamento afecta as suas capacidades. Para reduzir os riscos de tonturas ou desmaios, não se sente ou levante rapidamente, especialmente se for idoso. O álcool pode interferir com o efeito deste medicamento. Evite ingerir bebidas alcoólicas.
A sua boca pode apresentar-se anormalmente seca. Mascar pastilha elástica sem açúcar, chupar rebuçados ou beber muita água poderá ajudar. Contacte o seu médico se o problema não desaparecer ou se se agravar.
Este medicamento pode causar secura ocular e visão turva. Poderá sentir desconforto se usa lentes de contacto. Gotas lubrificantes poderão ajudar. Consulte o seu oftalmologista se o problema persistir ou se se agravar.
Se estiver a efectuar testes para detecção de alergias, informe o seu médico de que está a tomar este medicamento.
Que efeitos secundários posso notar com a toma deste medicamento?
Efeitos secundários que deverá reportar ao seu médico de imediato:
- dificuldade em urinar
- arritmia ou ritmo cardíaco acelerado
- convulsões
- confusão ou discurso confuso
- tremores
Efeitos secundários que normalmente não requerem atenção médica (em caso de persistência ou incómodo, consulte o seu médico):
- obstipação
- sonolência
- fadiga
- dores de cabeça
- distúrbios gástricos

Onde devo guardar o meu medicamento?
Mantenha-o fora do alcance de crianças.
Guarde este medicamento em local seco e à temperatura ambiente entre os 15 e os 30 graus C (59 e 86 graus F). Não congele este medicamento. Não o exponha à luz. Deite fora medicamentos não utilizados após expirar o prazo de validade.
