Zyloprim riduce la produzione di acido urico nel vostro corpo. Viene somministrato per trattare la gotta o i calcoli renali, e per diminuire i livelli di acido urico nelle persone che stanno effettuando trattamenti contro il cancro.
Indicazioni
Usare Zyloprim esattamente come gli è stato prescritto dal medico. Assumere ogni dose con un bicchiere d'acqua, dopo i pasti. La dose raccomandata è di 200-300 mg al giorno.La dose consigliata per i bambini dai 6 a 10 anni di età è di 300 mg al giorno. Per i bambini sotto i 6 anni d'età il dosaggio consigliato è di 150 mg al giorno. Il medico può .volendo, modificare la dose per ottenere migliori risultati dal trattamento con Zyloprim.
Precazioni
Le donne in gravidanza e le persone che nella loro vita hanno avuto malattie renali o epatiche non devono utilizzare Zyloprim. Limitare durante il trattamento l'uso di vitamina C. Il farmaco può compromettere il vostro pensiero o le vostre reazioni perciò occorre fare attenzione se si guida o se si deve fare qualcosa che richiede attenzione. Evitare di bere alcol perchè potrebbe peggiorare la sua condizione.
Controindicazioni
Non usare questo farmaco, se si dispone di una grave reazione allergica al farmaco.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Il farmaco può causare vertigini, vomito, eruzioni cutanee, diminuzione o assenza di urina, sintomi influenzali, ingiallimento della pelle o degli occhi, mal di testa, conati di vomito, ittero e alcune reazioni allergiche (orticaria, gonfiore del viso, delle labbrae della lingua, difficoltà respiratorie), vomito e diarrea. E' necessario chiamare il medico per un consiglio medico circa gli effetti collaterali.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Il medicinale può interagire con azatioprina,clorpropamide, ciclosporina, mercaptopurina, con gli antibiotici (ampicillina o amoxicillina), dicumarolo o warfarin e con i diuretici. Informare il medico su tutti i farmaci in uso. Non iniziare ad usare un nuovo farmaco senza prima averlo riferito al proprio medico.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio non sono noti.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 59-77 gradi F (15-25 gradi C).Conservare lontano da umidità e luce. Tenere fuori dalla portata di bambini ed animali domestici.
