Clomid (Clomiphene)
Informazioni generali
Clomid è un farmaco per la fertilità. Aiuta le donne a raggiungere la gravidanza; induce infatti l'ovulazione. Il farmaco stimola la produzione di ormone follicolo-stimolante nella ghiandola pituitaria. Aumenta la quantità di 3 ormoni: ormone luteinizzante, follicolo-stimolante e il rilascio dell’ormone gonadotropina. In questo modo il corpo viene ingannato a credere che i livelli di estrogeni siano bassi e le ovaie tendono a maturare più follicoli.
Indicazioni
La dose raccomandata è di 50 mg al giorno prima di coricarsi. Consigliabile l’assunzione di Clomid dal 5° giorno del ciclo mestruale per 5 giorni. In caso di mancato effetto, la dose può essere aumentata fino a 150 mg.
Precauzioni
Prima del trattamento con l’assunzione del farmaco Clomid bisogna informare il medico se si è allergici al clomifene, se si soffre di malattie del fegato, depressione mentale o tromboflebite. Il farmaco può causare problemi alla vista, vertigini o stordimento.
Controindicazioni
Ai pazienti con le seguenti condizioni non è possibile utilizzare Clomid: ipersensibilità, metrorragia, cisti ovariche, neoplasie di organi genitali, insufficienza epatica o renale, tumore o ipofunzione dell'ipofisi, endometriosi, insufficienza ovarica con iperprolattinemia e gravidanza.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali più comuni sono: orticaria, nausea, gonfiore delle labbra, della lingua o del volto, ingrossamento delle ovaie che si presenta come dolore addominale o pelvico, vampate, vomito, diarrea, offuscamento della vista, cefalea, sanguinamento uterino anomalo.
Interazioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento è necessario informare il medico su tutti i farmaci in uso.
Dose mancata
Assumere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Se è quasi ora della dose successiva basta non assumerla e tornare ad assumere il farmaco come previsto.
Sovraddosaggio
Se pensi di avere assunto un sovradosaggio del farmaco, cercare assistenza medica immediatamente.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco in luogo asciutto, lontano dalla luce solare e a temperatura ambiente tra i 15-30 °C (59-86 F).
