Informations générales
Le composant actif du Cytotec est le Misoprostol. C’est une prostaglandine synthétique. Le médicament est utilisé pour prévenir la formation d’ulcères de l'estomac par les patients qui prennent des AINS. Il protège l'estomac contre l'action destructrice des AINS.
Posologie
Il est recommandé de prendre 0,2 mg 3-4 fois par jour avant le coucher. Cytotec commence son action dans les 30 minutes suivant la prise et dure environ 3 heures.
Précautions
Avant de commencer le traitement au Cytotec, veuillez informer votre médecin de tous les etats de santé et en particulier des maladies inflammatoires de l'intestin ou de toute autre état, afin d'éviter des situations dangereuses causées par une perte considérable de liquide. Evitez de le prendre avec un antiacide contenant du magnésium.
Contre-indications
Les femmes enceintes et en période d’allaitement au sein, les patients présentant une insuffisance rénale et les patients de moins de 18 ans doivent éviter d’utiliser le médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Des vomissements, de la diarrhée, des douleurs abdominales sont des effets secondaires fréquents. De fois, il peut survenir des maux de tête, des éruptions cutanées, de la somnolence, des crampes menstruelles, de l’hypo ou hypertension, des nausées et des flatulences.
Interaction des médicaments

Omission de dose
Prenez la dose omise dès que possible. S'il est presque l’heure de la prochaine prise, il suffit de sauter la dose omise et de revenir à votre horaire de prise habituel.
Surdosage
