Le médicament provoque des changements dans votre glaire cervicale et la muqueuse utérine, ce qui rend difficile pour les spermatozoïdes d'atteindre l'utérus et plus difficile pour un oeuf fécondé de joindre à l'utérus. Rappelez-vous que la prise de cette pilule ne vous protège pas contre les maladies sexuellement transmissibles, telles que la chlamydia, le VIH, la gonorrhée et ainsi de suite.
Posologie
Prenez le médicament exactement comme prescrit par votre médecin. Utilisez votre première pilule le premier jour de votre période et puis prenez une pilule par jour. Les 21 premiers comprimés contiennent les ingrédients actifs. Les sept derniers comprimés ne contiennent pas d'ingrédients actifs. Ces comprimés permettent à votre corps de se reposer des hormones,et vous avez ainsi une période menstruelle.
Précautions
N’utilisez pas Yasmin si vous avez un accident vasculaire cérébral ou des caillots sanguins (surtout chez les patients de plus de 35 ans), l’insuffisance hépatique ou rénale, la cirrhose. Avisez votre médecin si vous fumez ou si vous devez avoir une intervention chirurgicale. Vous devriez informer votre médecin d’autres médicaments que vous prenez, y compris les médicaments sur ordonnance et en vente libre, des vitamines et des suppléments à base de plantes.
Contre-indications
Évitez d'utiliser le médicament si vous avez une réaction allergique à ses composants, le cancer du sein, les maladies coronariennes, les problèmes rénaux, l'hyperkaliémie, l’insuffisance rénale ou si vous êtes enceinte ou si vous allaitez.
Effets secondaires possibles
Le médicament peut provoquer des maux de tête, des étourdissements, des changements dans le cycle menstruel, une augmentation de la tension artérielle, des troubles du foie, des vomissements et des nausées. Si vous rencontrez l'un des effets secondaires énumérés ci-dessus vous devriez consulter avec votre médecin.
Interaction des médicaments
Avant de commencer votre traitement avec Yasmin informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments que vous utilisez notamment les médicaments sur ordonnance et en vente libre, des produits naturels, l'acide ascorbique, la cyclosporine, la théophylline, les médicaments contre le VIH ou le SIDA, les antibiotiques.
Omission de dose
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes du surdosage sont des saignements vaginaux, un écoeurement et des nausées.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante inférieure à 77 degrés F (15 degrés C). Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
