Posologie
Prenez Vasotec exactement comme il a été prescrit pour vous. Prenez chaque dose avec un verre plein d'eau avec ou sans nourriture. La dose recommandée varie entre 2,5 mg une fois par jour et 20 mg deux fois par jour. Votre médecin peut parfois changer votre dose pour optimiser les résultats du traitement.
Précautions
Avant de prendre Vasotec, informez votre médecin si vous souffrez du diabète, de la maladie rénale ou hépatique, des maladies cardiaques, du syndrome de Marfan, du lupus, de la polyarthrite rhumatoïde. Vasotec peut provoquer des effets secondaires qui peuvent nuire à votre pensée ou aux réactions. N'utilisez pas de substituts de sel ou de suppléments de potassium. Soyez prudent si vous conduisez un véhicule ou faites tout ce qui vous oblige à rester éveillé et vigilant. Évitez de boire de l'alcool.
Contre-indications
N’utilisez pas ce médicament si vous êtes allergique à Vasotec ou à un des inhibiteurs de l’ECA, si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez des évanouissements, une peau pâle, l’urticaire, l’enflure, l’œdème de Quincke, des mictions plus ou moins fréquentes que d'habitude, des difficultés respiratoires, des battements cardiaques irréguliers, des douleurs d'estomac, le jaunissement des yeux ou de la peau, des douleurs thoraciques, des symptômes de grippe, des saignements. Des effets secondaires moins graves peuvent inclure: une perte d'appétit, des vomissements, des étourdissements, une diarrhée, l'insomnie, des maux de tête, la toux, des nausées, la bouche sèche.
Interaction des médicaments
Avant de prendre Vasotec, avisez votre médecin si vous prenez un des médicaments suivants: les diurétiques (furosémide), le lithium, les médicaments antidiabétiques (metformine, insuline), les suppléments de potassium (K-Dur, Klor-Con), les anti-inflammatoires non-stéroïdiens (kétoprofène, ibuprofène, diclofénac), les bêta-bloquants. L'interaction entre deux médicaments ne signifie pas toujours ce que vous devez cesser de prendre l'un d'eux. Informez votre médecin ou le prescripteur de tous les médicaments sur ordonnance ou en vente libre et des herbes médicinales que vous prenez.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament, cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage sont des étourdissements ou des évanouissements.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante inférieure à 86 degrés F (30 degrés C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité.
