Plavix (Clopidogrel)
Informations générales
Plavix est un médicament prescrit pour diminuer le risque des crises cardiaques et des attaques cérébrales causées par des caillots sanguins, surtout chez les patients ayant des antécédents récents des attaques cérébrales, des crises cardiaques et une maladie vasculaire périphérique, pour prévenir des troubles ischémiques tels qu'un infarctus du myocarde, un accident vasculaire cérébral, une thrombose des artères périphériques et d’autres. Ce médicament inhibe l'agrégation des plaquettes (coagulation) et dilate les vaisseaux coronaires.
Posologie
Ce médicament doit être pris avec ou sans nourriture une fois par jour.
Précautions
N’utilisez pas ce médicament avec de l'aspirine ou certains AINS (des anti-inflammatoires non-stéroïdiens) ou avec les anticoagulants. Donc, vous devriez parler avec votre médecin des précautions et des avertissements qui peuvent apparaître, tels que des selles sanglantes, des vomissements ou de la toux sanglante.
Contre-indications
L'utilisation de PLAVIX est contre-indiquée dans les conditions suivantes: hypersensibilité, insuffisance hépatique sévère, hémorragie aiguë, ulcère de l'estomac ou du duodénum, colite ulcéreuse, tuberculose et d’autres maladies prédisposant au saignement, grossesse, allaitement, période néonatale.
Effets secondaires possibles
Saignement dans l'estomac ou les intestins, accident hémorragique, neutropénie, thrombocytopénie, douleurs abdominales, dyspepsie, gastrite, constipation, ulcères dans un tractus gastro-intestinal, diarrhée, allergie.
Interactions des médicaments
Ne prenez pas Plavix avec les anti-inflammatoires non-stéroïdiens puisque cela peut provoquer une hémorragie excessive.
Omission de dose
Il est important de prendre ce médicament conformément à la prescription du médecin. Si vous oubliez une dose et s’il est presque temps de la dose suivante, sautez la dose oubliée et reprenez votre horaire habituel. Ne prenez pas de double dose.
Surdosage
Les symptômes du surdosage sont des vomissements, une sensation d'épuisement ou d'essoufflement, des signes de sang dans vos selles ou les vomissements, une diarrhée, des accès, des démangeaisons. En cas de manifestation grave de ces effets indésirables appelez immédiatement votre médecin.
Conservation
Conservez ce médicament à température ambiante entre 15-30 C (59-86 F).
