Xalatan è un collirio che ha lo scopo di abbassare la pressione nell'occhio. Ha 'un componente attivo chiamato latanoprost (un analogo della prostaglandina F2α) che aiuta a ridurre la pressione intraoculare. Aumenta il deflusso dell'umore acqueo. La pressione intraoculare si riduce dopo circa tre o quattro ore dopo che Xalatan è stato applicato e il massimo effetto si raggiunge dopo 8-12 ore.
Indicazioni
Questo farmaco è assunto solo su prescrizione del medico. Utilizzare una goccia per occhio la sera.
Precauzioni
Xalatan è in grado di cambiare il colore delle palpebre ', provoca cambiamenti delle ciglia, aumentando la loro lunghezza, cambiando il loro spessore, provocando cambiamenti nella pigmentazione, cambiando il numero di volte in cui vengono sbattute le palpebre, ma può causare anche un cambiamento nella pelle delle palpebre che diventano scure, e può anche provocare uveite e irite, alterazioni della pigmentazione dell'iride ; edema maculare.
Controindicazioni
Xalatan è controindicato in pazienti che soffrono di ipersensibilità ad uno dei suoi ingredienti. In caso di gravidanza, se si pensa di essere incinta o si è in allattamento, evitare di prendere questo farmaco e consultare il medico.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali comprendono visione offuscata, aumento della pigmentazione dell'iride, occhi insanguinati, bruciore, sensazione di corpo estraneo, malattia infiammatoria della cornea, prurito, infezioni delle alte infiammatorie, irritazione.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Xalatan è in grado di interagire con altri tipi di colliri che hanno tiomersale nella loro formula. In generale si può prendere altri tipi di farmaci oftalmologici per ridurre la pressione intraoculare, ma ci dovrebbe essere un intervallo di 5 minuti tra gli usi. Benzalconio cloruro è un ingrediente di Xalatan che può essere assorbito dalle lenti a contatto, quindi prima di applicare questi colliri rimuovere le eventuali lenti a contatto e rimetterle solo 15 minuti dopo l'uso del farmaco.
Dose mancata
Nel caso ci si fosse dimenticati di assumere la dose prescritta di questo farmaco, prenderla il più presto possibile. Se è già tempo di prendere la dose successiva, non prendere la dose dimenticata e seguire il programma normale di dosaggio. Evitare di compensare la dose dimenticata facendo un extra.
Sovradosaggio
Se si sospetta di aver assunto un' overdose del farmaco, rivolgersi immediatamente al medico o contattate il vostro operatore sanitario. I sintomi di sovradosaggio comprendono occhi iniettati di sangue o irritazione degli occhi.
Conservazione
Il farmaco viene conservato nella confezione che va tenuta in frigorifero. Se la medicina è aperta, dovrebbe essere tenuta a temperatura ambiente per 6 settimane al riparo dalla luce, calore, umidità. Evitare di conservare il farmaco in bagno. Conservare tutti i farmaci lontano dalla portata dei bambini e animali domestici. Non utilizzare nel caso in cui la data di scadenza è stata oltrepassata.
