Instrucciones
Tomу Pepcid exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. La dosis usual para adultos es de 20 mg o 40 mg al acostarse a 20 mg o 40 mg dos veces al día, dependiendo de la enfermedad que padece. Este medicamento puede tomarse con o sin alimentos. La dosis para el tratamiento de la úlcera duodenal es de 40 mg al acostarse durante 4 a 8 semanas. La dosis habitual para el tratamiento de la úlcera gástrica benigna es de 40 mg una vez al día al acostarse durante 4 a 8 semanas. De Zollinger-Ellison y otras condiciones similares, la dosis varía con cada paciente, pero a menudo se inicia con 20 mg cada 6 horas. Precauciones
Antes de tomar Pepcid usted debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene enfermedad renal o hepática, cáncer de estómago, asma, enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica. Evite beber alcohol. Contraindicaciones

Los posibles efectos secundarios

Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: ketoconazol, atazanavir, el itraconazol, no esteroides anti-inflamatorios no esteroideos (piroxicam, ibuprofeno, diclofenaco, naproxeno). La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico todos los medicamentos, de venta libre-, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que está tomando.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina, debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son dolor de estómago, sensación de desmayo, náuseas, diarrea, frecuencia cardíaca rápida.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-86 grados F (15-30 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
