Instrucciones
Tome este medicamento exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Tome este medicamento por vía oral, con o sin alimentos, 30 minutos a 1 hora antes de iniciar la actividad, como los viajes. Tome cada dosis con un vaso lleno de agua. Dramamine se toma generalmente cada 4 a 6 horas según sea necesario. No tome más de 400 mg de este medicamento al día.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Dramamine usted debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene enfermedad renal o hepática, un glaucoma, próstata agrandada, problemas de vejiga, dificultad para orinar, asma, enfisema, latidos cardíacos irregulares, problemas estomacales, presión arterial alta. Este medicamento puede causar mareos, somnolencia o visión borrosa. No conduzca o realice tareas que requieren vigilancia.
Contraindicaciones
Dígale a su médico si está embarazada o amamantando. No se recomienda en niños menores de 2 años de edad.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si usted tiene somnolencia, mareos, dolor de cabeza, estreñimiento, malestar estomacal, cambios en la visión, irritabilidad, disminución de la coordinación, o boca seca, erupciones, picazón, hinchazón, latidos cardíacos irregulares, zumbido en los oídos, dificultad para orinar, convulsiones, disminución de la apetito, náuseas, vómitos, diarrea, agitación, insomnio. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, consulte a su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: antidepresivos, analgésicos, antihistamínicos (difenhidramina crema, pomada), sedantes, inhibidores de la MAO (furazolidona, fenelzina, isocarboxazida, tranilcipromina), medicamentos para la ansiedad, relajantes musculares, antiespasmódicos (atropina, belladona alcaloides), antibióticos (gentamicina), anticonvulsivos (carbamazepina), antidepresivos tricíclicos (amitriptilina), analgésicos narcóticos (codeína). La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico sobre todos los medicamentos, de venta libre-, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que está tomando.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son las convulsiones, somnolencia, dificultad para respirar, fiebre, alucinaciones, pupilas dilatadas, temblores.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 68-77 grados F (20-25 grados C) lejos del calor, la luz y la humedad.
