Sinemet (Carbidopa + Levodopa)
Informations générales
Sinemet est un produit contenant deux médicaments: la lévodopa et la carbidopa. Il est utilisé pour traiter la maladie de Parkinson. La lévodopa aide à contrôler les symptômes de la maladie de Parkinson en corrigeant le déséquilibre des substances chimiques dans le cerveau à l’origine de ces symptômes. Bien que Sinemet aide à soulager les symptômes de la maladie de Parkinson, il ne ralentit pas la progression de la maladie.
Posologie
Prenez Sinemet conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin. La dose initiale recommandée est de 1 comprimé, contenant 100 mg de lévodopa et 25 mg de carbidopa, 3 fois par jour. Généralement, votre médecin augmente la dose de 1 comprimé par jour tous les 3 jours. Si la dose dépasse 3 comprimés par jour, elle doit être divisée en 4-6 prises par jour.
Précautions
Avant de prendre Sinemet veuillez aviser votre médecin si vous souffrez d'allergies, des ulcères gastriques ou intestinaux, le glaucome, des problèmes cardiaques, une maladie rénale ou hépatique, la cirrhose, l’hépatite, le mélanome malin, l'asthme ou la bronchopneumopathie chronique obstructive. Avisez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez.
Contre-indications
Ne prenez pas Sinemet si vous êtes allergique à la lévodopa, au carbidopa ou à l'un des ingrédients du médicament ou si vous avez un phéochromocytome, le glaucome à angle fermé, une maladie cardiaque active, une maladie endocrinienne, des maladies du foie ou des reins, le syndrome malin des neuroleptiques, la rhabdomyolyse.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez des bouffées de chaleur, des gaz, une augmentation de la libido, une somnolence, des maux de tête, une insomnie, des crampes musculaires, des douleurs abdominales, des nausées, une constipation, une perte d'appétit, une perte de poids, des vomissements, une faiblesse, des maux de dos, la sècheresse de la bouche. Si vous remarquez d'autres effets non énumérés ci-dessus, consultez votre médecin.
Interaction des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les autres médicaments que vous utilisez, notamment: les antidépresseurs tricycliques (doxépine, amitriptyline, trimipramine), les inhibiteurs de la monoamine oxydase (rasagiline, tranylcypromine, isocarboxazide), la phénytoïne, l’isoniazide, des médicaments contre l'hypertension, le métoclopramide, les neuroleptiques (quétiapine, loxapine, clozapine, ziprasidone). L'interaction entre deux médicaments ne signifie pas toujours que vous devez cesser de prendre l'un d'eux. Informez votre médecin ou le prescripteur de tous les médicaments sur ordonnance, en vente libre et des herbes médicinales que vous prenez.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament, cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage sont la confusion, la tachycardie, des nausées, l’agitation, l’insomnie, une tension artérielle basse (hypotension) ou une tension artérielle élevée (hypertension), des vomissements.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 68-77 degrés F (20-25 degrés C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité. Ne conservez pas les médicaments dans la salle de bain. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
