Stromectol appartiene alla classe di antielmintici. È indicato per il trattamento di alcune infezioni parassitarie da ascaridi. Il suo compito è quello di paralizzare e uccidere i parassiti.
Indicazioni
Si raccomanda di seguire le istruzioni del medico. Assumere il farmaco a stomaco vuoto con un bicchiere d'acqua.
Precauzioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento con Stromectol è necessario informare il medico se si soffre di altre infezioni da parassiti, mal di schiena, sanguinamento degli occhi, respiro corto, mancato controllo della vescica o dell'intestino, difficoltà a camminare o a stare in piedi, alterazioni mentali (ad esempio, confusione), insolita debolezza o convulsioni. Il farmaco può causare vertigini, sonnolenza, stordimento o svenimento. Evitare di bere bevande alcoliche. Non è consentita l’assunzione del farmaco a donne in gravidanza e nel periodo di allattamento.
Controindicazioni
Non è consentito l’assunzione del farmaco a pazienti con reazione allergica a Stromectol.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali possono essere i seguenti: nausea, allergie, orticaria, rash, prurito, difficoltà respiratoria, senso di oppressione al petto, gonfiore della bocca del viso, delle labbra e della lingua, dolore agli occhi, gonfiore, arrossamento, svenimenti, battito cardiaco accelerato, febbre, disturbi visivi, dolori articolari, pelle rossa, gonfia, vesciche o desquamazione della pelle, convulsioni, forti capogiri o vertigini, gonfiore della pelle, braccia, gambe, caviglie o dei piedi, (tender?)gonfiore delle ghiandole linfatiche e ingiallimento di occhi o pelle.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Prima di iniziare ad assumere Stromectol è necessario informare il proprio medico su i farmaci ai quali si è tolleranti in particolar modo sul Warfarin.
Dose mencata
Assumere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Se è quasi ora della dose successiva basta non assumerla e tornare ad assumere il farmaco come previsto.
Overdose
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente sotto i 30 gradi °C (86 gradi F) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità. Non conservare in bagno. Tenere tutti i farmaci lontano dalla portata dei bambini e dagli animali domestici.
