Tegretol (Carbamazepine)
Informazioni generali
Tegretol (carbamazepina) è un anticonvulsivante. Il farmaco funziona riducendo gli impulsi nervosi che causano convulsioni e dolore. Viene usato per trattare l'epilessia e nevralgia del trigemino. La carbamazepina è utilizzata anche nel trattamento del disturbo bipolare.
Indicazioni
Prendere Tegretol esattamente come prescritto dal medico. Utilizzare questo farmaco con un bicchiere pieno di acqua una volta al giorno a stomaco pieno o vuoto.. Non schiacciare, masticare o rompere la compressa. Per adulti e bambini sopra i 12 anni, la dose raccomandata è di 200 mg due volte al giorno. Per i bambini dai 6 ai 12 anni, la dose raccomandata è di 100 mg due volte al giorno.
Precauzioni
Bisognerebbe discutere con il proprio medico se si dispone di: insufficienza cardiaca, aritmie, problemi al fegato o ai reni, eventuali allergie. Lasciate che il vostro medico sanitaria provveda a voi se si è incinta o se si sta allattando. Le persone anziane possono essere più sensibili agli effetti collaterali del farmaco.
Controindicazioni
Se siete allergici al farmaco non usarlo.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti indesiderati più comuni possono essere: vertigini, sonnolenza, nausea, vomito. Effetti indesiderati gravi sono: allucinazioni, depressione, anemia, ipertensione o ipotensione. Cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza se si dispone di uno di questi effetti collaterali.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Tegretol può interagire con molti altri farmaci: antibiotici (per esempio eritromicina, Ketoconazolo, Itraconazolo), antipsicotici (ad esempio Ziprasidone, clozapina), Ciclosporina, Teofillina ecc Consultare il proprio medico o farmacista per ulteriori informazioni.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza . I sintomi da sovradosaggio possono includere: dolore al petto, nausea, battito cardiaco irregolare, e sensazione di testa leggera o svenimento.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 68-77 gradi F (20-25 gradi C). Conservare lontano da umidità e luce. Tenere fuori dalla portata dei bambini e lontano da animali domestici.
