Instrucciones
Tome Imdur exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. La dosis recomendada en adultos es de 60 mg una vez al día en la mañana después de levantarse. Su médico puede aumentar la dosis a 120 mg una vez al día por la mañana si es necesario. Para reducir el riesgo de dolor de cabeza, su médico puede sugerir a partir de 30 mg una vez al día cada mañana durante los primeros 2 a 4 días. Trague este medicamento entero con medio vaso de agua.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Imdur debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva, presión arterial baja, enfermedad renal, anemia, deshidratación. Dígale a su médico si está embarazada o dando de lactar. Este medicamento puede causar mareos. No conduzca o realice tareas que requieren estar alerta. Evite levantarse muy rápido de la posición de sentado o echado, ya que puede sentirse mareado. Limite el consumo de las bebidas alcohólicas. El alcohol puede aumentar algunos de los efectos secundarios.
Contraindicaciones
Usted no debe tomar Imdur si usted es alérgico a isosorbide-5-mononitrato o cualquier otro componente de este medicamento, a otros nitratos o nitritos, o si se le ha aumentado la presión dentro de la cabeza, si tiene insuficiencia de miocardio debido a la obstrucción,o anemia severa.
Posibles efectos secundarios
Busque atención médica de emergencia si usted tiene dolor abdominal, estreñimiento, diarrea, mareos, aturdimiento, enrojecimiento de la cara y el cuello, gas, dolor de cabeza, aumento de la sudoración, náuseas, inquietud, sensación de sueño girando problemas, hinchazón de la cara, lengua, garganta , urticaria, dificultad para respirar, palpitaciones, visión borrosa, dolor de pecho, ardor de estómago, boca seca, dolor en las articulaciones o los músculos. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, póngase en contacto con su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: medicamentos para la presión arterial (metoprolol, bumetanida, triamtereno), fármacos dihidroergotamina, ergotamina, para los problemas de erección en hombres (tadalafilo, vardenafilo, sildenafilo), betabloqueantes (propranolol, bisoprolol, metoprolol, atenolol), antagonistas del calcio (verapamilo, felodipina, nifedipina, diltiazem), antidepresivos tricíclicos (trimipramina, nortriptilina, clomipramina, amitriptilina), inhibidores de la proteasa (saquinavir, indinavir, atazanavir). La interacción entre dos medicaciones no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico o sobre todos los medicamentos, sin receta médica, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que esté tomando.
Dosis omitida
Tome la dosis que olvidó tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que ha tomado mucho de la medicina, busque ayuda médica de emergencia a la vez. Los síntomas de sobredosis son ritmo cardíaco lento, cambios en la visión, vómitos, náuseas, sudoración, piel fría, dedos o los labios azulados.
Almacenaje
