Il peut être pris au lieu d’autres anti-inflammatoires non-stéroïdiens (AINS) qui, dans certains cas sont contre-indiqués pour les patients. Le paracétamol peut être utilisé en association avec d'autres médicaments selon le cas.
Posologie
Le paracétamol est pris par voie orale avec un verre d'eau, avec ou sans nourriture. N’écrasez pas, ne coupez pas, ou ne mâchez pas ce médicament en le prenant. Évitez de le prendre plus longtemps que prescrit. Vous devez consulter votre médecin au sujet de la posologie appropriée. Ne cessez pas de prendre le médicament que si votre médecin vous l’a ordonné. Il faut attendre une certaine période de temps pour que le médicament vous aide.
Précautions
Pour vous assurer que vous pouvez prendre du paracétamol sans risque, avisez votre médecin ou votre pharmacien si vous y êtes hypersensible, si vous avez d'autres allergies, si vous souffrez des maladies hépatiques ou rénales, de l'hypertension, si vous êtes enceinte, prévoyez de tomber enceinte ou allaitez. Limitez la consommation des boissons d'alcool car ils peuvent interagir avec le paracétamol. Effets secondaires possibles

Interaction des médicaments
Omission de dose
Dans le cas où vous avez oublié de prendre une dose de ce médicament, prenez-la dès que possible. Évitez de compenser une dose oubliée en prenant une dose supplémentaire.
Surdosage
Si vous soupçonnez que vous avez pris une dose plus élevée de ce médicament, vous devez chercher l'aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes les plus courants de surdosage sont les suivants: desdouleurs thoraciques, une malaise, des battements de coeur irréguliers, des étourdissements, une syncope.
Conservation
Conservez ce médicament à température ambiante entre 68-77 degrés F (20-25 degrés C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité. Évitez de conserver le médicament dans la salle de bains. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
