Clarinex (Desloratadine)
Informations générales
Clarinex est un antihistaminique qui procure un soulagement des symptômes des allergies saisonnières et des conditions allergiques nasales (rhinite) telles que l'écoulement nasal, des éternuements, des larmoiements ou des démangeaisons. Il peut également être utilisé pour traiter l’urticaire. Le médicament bloque les effets de l'histamine. Cela peut aider à soulager des symptômes d'allergie. Pourtant, Clarinex n'aidera pas à ouvrir les voies nasales puisque l'histamine n’a pas d’effets sur la congestion nasale.
Posologie
Prenez Clarinex conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin. Pour les adultes et les enfants âgés de 12 ans et plus, la dose est de 5 mg une fois par jour. Si vous avez une maladie rénale ou hépatique, votre médecin peut recommander une dose initiale de 5 mg tous les deux jours. La dose pour les enfants âgés de 6 à 11 ans est de 2,5 mg une fois par jour. Le médicament peut être pris à tout moment de la journée. Cependant, il doit être pris à la même heure chaque jour. Clarinex peut être pris avec ou sans nourriture.
Précautions
Avant de prendre Clarinex veuillez aviser votre médecin si vous avez une maladie rénale ou hépatique, la phénylcétonurie, des allergies. Avertissez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez. Limitez votre consommation d'alcool, car il peut aggraver les effets secondaires des médicaments.
Contre-indications
Vous ne devriez pas prendre Clarinex si vous êtes allergique à la desloratadine ou à la loratadine. Il n'est pas recommandé aux enfants de moins de 2 ans.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez des nausées, une fatigue, des maux de gorge, des étourdissements, des infections des voies urinaires, des douleurs musculaires (myalgies), une sécheresse de la bouche, une fatigue excessive, des maux de tête, la toux, une augmentation de l'appétit, une diarrhée, la bronchite, l’otite moyenne, des douleurs menstruelles, une indigestion (dyspepsie), l’insomnie, une fièvre, la jaunisse (le jaunissement de la peau ou des yeux), des battements cardiaques irréguliers, la saisie. Si vous remarquez d'autres effets non énumérés ci-dessus, consultez votre médecin.
Interaction des médicaments
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament, cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdose sont l’accélération du rythme cardiaque, une somnolence.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 59-77 degrés F (15-25 degrés C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité. Ne le conservez pas dans la salle de bain. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
