Eritromicina è un antibiotico macrolide e viene prescritto per il trattamento delle infezioni batteriche. Può anche essere usato per trattare attacchi di febbre reumatica ed endocardite batterica.
Indicazioni
Si consiglia di prendere il farmaco nelle modalità con cui è stato prescritto dal medico. Prendere Eritromycin con un bicchiere d'acqua a stomaco vuoto o pieno. Si raccomanda di inghiottire la pillola intera.
Precauzioni
Il medicinale può provocare diarrea. In caso di diarrea acquosa o contenente tracce di sangue, interrompere l'assunzione del farmaco e contattare il proprio medico.
Controindicazioni
I pazienti che stanno assumendo pimozide o cisapride, i pazienti con ipersensibilità al farmaco e le donne in gravidanza o in periodo di allattamento non possono assumere il farmaco. I pazienti con malattia epatica o myasthenia gravis possono avere bisogno di un particolare test per la giusta regolazione del dosaggio.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali più frequenti possono essere i seguenti: orticaria, difficoltà respiratorie, gonfiore del viso, delle labbra, della lingua o della gola, dolore toracico, battito cardiaco irregolare, sensazione di testa leggera o di svenimento, nausea, mal di stomaco, febbre bassa, perdita di appetito, urine scure , feci di colore argilla, ittero (colorazione gialla della pelle o degli occhi), diarrea, vertigini, cefalea, sensazione di stanchezza, prurito o spurgo vaginale, lieve prurito o eruzioni cutanee. Se si verifica uno qualsiasi degli effetti indesiderati sopra elencati rivolgersi al proprio medico.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Eritromycin può interagire con molti farmaci. Prima di iniziare il trattamento riferire al proprio medico circa altri farmaci che si stanno assumendo in particolare riguardo a sali minerali, vitamine, o medicinali prescritti da altri medici.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose saltata non appena possibile. Se è quasi tempo di prendere la dose successiva saltarla e ritornare al vostro programma.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio sono:nausea, vomito, diarrea, mal di stomaco, o perdita dell'udito.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente lontano da umidità e calore.
