Macrobid (Nitrofurantoin Monohydrate)

Macrobid appartiene alla classe di farmaci chiamati antibiotici. Aiuta ad eliminare i sintomi delle infezioni del tratto urinario, quali bruciore, dolore, minzione frequente, e un bisogno continuo di urinare (cistite).
Indicazioni
Prendere il farmaco esattamente come è stato prescritto dal medico. Non assumere in quantità maggiore o minore o più a lungo di quanto raccomandato. Seguire le indicazioni riportate sulla vostra etichetta di prescrizione. Il dosaggio normale è di una capsula da 100 mg da assumere ogni 12 ore per sette giorni .Assumere ogni dose con un bicchiere d'acqua e a stomaco pieno.
Precauzioni
Prima di prendere Macrobid, si informi il proprio medico se si hanno malattie renali, anemia, diabete, uno squilibrio elettrolitico o carenza di vitamina B, un deficit enzimatico genetico, o qualsiasi tipo di malattia debilitante. Interrompere l'assunzione di questo farmaco e chiamare subito il medico se si ha la diarrea.
Controindicazioni
Non si dovrebbe prendere Macrobid se si è allergici a nitrofurantoina, se si hanno: malattie renali, se si hanno o si sono avuti problemi di fegato o di ittero e se si è nelle ultime 2 - 4 settimane di gravidanza. I bambini sotto i 12 anni non possono prendere Macrobid.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti indesiderati che compaiono più frequentemente sono:orticaria, difficoltà respiratorie, gonfiore, diarrea,mancanza di respiro,fiato corto,dolore o fastidio toracico improvviso e vertiginoso,febbre, feci di color argilla, ittero. Chiamare il proprio medico per un consiglio medico circa gli effetti collaterali.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Dose mancata
Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Il sovradosaggio può causare nausea e conati di vomito. Informare immediatamente il medico se si presume di aver assunto un dosaggio eccessivo del medicinale.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco nel pacchetto a tenuta stagna lontano da umidità e fonti luminose.
