Noroxin está en un grupo de antibióticos llamados fluoroquinolonas. Éste combate la bacteria en el cuerpo. Noroxin se utiliza para tratar infecciones bacterianas de la próstata y el tracto urinario. Noroxin también sirve para tratar la gonorrea sin complicaciones. El fármaco es activo durante 12 horas.
Instrucciones
Tome exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Tome Noroxin con un vaso lleno de agua (8 onzas). Beba varios vasos extras de líquido cada día para evitar la formación de cristales en la orina. Tome Noroxin con el estómago vacío 1 hora antes o 2 horas después de comer, bebaleche o coma productos lácteos como el yogur. Para la curación de las infecciones de vías urinarias la dosis es de 400 mg dos veces al día durante 7-10 días. Para curar la cistitis no complicada el tratamiento continúa durante 3-7 días y para la dosificación de las vías urinarias de hasta 12 semanas. Para la prostatitis la dosis necesaria es de 800 mg diarios, divididos en 2 dosis durante cuatro semanas. La dosis usual única para la cura gonorrea es de 800 mg al día.
Precauciones
Usted no debe usar Noroxin si usted tiene una historia de la enfermedad del riñón o hígado.Evite la exposición a la luz del sol o el bronceado. No beba alcohol. Puede causar mareos y somnolencia, puede perjudicar su pensamiento o reacciones. Tenga cuidado si maneja o hace algo que demande que se mantenga alerta.
Contraindicaciones
Evite el uso de la medicina si usted tiene una reacción alérgica, arteriosclerosis cerebral, epilepsia, miastenia gravis, enfermedad del riñón o del hígado, si usted está embarazada o es niño menor de 18 años.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Noroxin puede causar astenia, cefalea, somnolencia, vértigo, mareos, dolor de vientre, tiemblan, la sensibilidad al sol, convulsiones, cambios psíquicos, reacción cutánea grave, los problemas de los ojos, pérdida del apetito, orina oscura, coloración amarillenta de la piel, pérdida de movimiento en cualquier de las articulaciones, diarrea, dolor en la parte superior del estómago, heces de color arcilla, alergia o sangrado vaginal.Llame a su médico por asesoramiento médico sobre los efectos secundarios.
Interacción con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente anticoagulantes, ciclosporina, teofilina, glibenclamida, nitrofurantoína, probenecid, no esteroide anti-inflamatorio y esteroides.Tenga cuidado, porque la interacción de medicamentos puede hacer que los efectos de la enfermedad se hagan más fuertes.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
