Trecator-sc (Ethionamide)
Información general
Trecator-SC se usa contra la tuberculosis agente que posee propiedades bacteriostáticas. Funciona a través de la síntesis de la supresión de proteínas bacterianas. Se inhibe el crecimiento y propagación de micobacterias de la tuberculosis. Este medicamento facilita la fagocitosis en el centro de la tuberculosis inflamación que acelera su resolución. Trecator-Sc es también eficaz en el tratamiento de la lepra.
Instrucciones
Tome este medicamento exactamente como su médico se lo haya recetado. Debe seguir detenidamente todas las direcciones. Administre la ingesta por vía oral con un vaso lleno de agua. Trecator-SC se debe tomar simultáneamente con la comida o después de las comidas para evitar molestias estomacales. En general, la dosis diaria recomendada para adultos es de 0,25 mg tres veces al día. En el caso de la tolerancia al medicamento normal la dosis se puede aumentar a 0,25 mg tomadas cuatro veces por día. Para los pacientes que son 60 años de edad o pacientes con el peso del cuerpo que es menos de 50 kilos la dosis recomendada es de 0,25 mg que se toma dos veces al día. Para los niños la dosis máxima tolerada no aumenta 0,75 mg por día.
Precauciones
Notifique a su médico sobre cualquier otro medicamento que pueda estar tomando, además de éste. Tomando este medicamento con una cierta clase de otros medicamentos puede resultar en el aumento o disminución de los efectos o alterar en cualquiera de los fármacos. Evite beber alcohol mientras esté en tratamiento con este medicamento. Consulte a su médico antes de tomar en caso de que usted está embarazada, planea quedar embarazada o dando de lactar.
Contraindicaciones
Este medicamento está contraindicado en pacientes con hipersensibilidad, la diabetes, las enfermedades gastrointestinales agudas o crónicas, insuficiencia hepática o renal, el embarazo, la lactancia materna.
Posibles efectos secundarios
Un efecto secundario potencial asociado con Trecator-SC puede consistir en: trastornos gastrointestinales, como diarrea, sabor metálico dispepsia, dolor abdominal, náuseas, arcadas, timpanismo, ictericia, pérdida de apetito, reacciones alérgicas como urticaria, hinchazón de la cara, lengua, garganta , picazón, neuritis periférica, confusión mental, depresión, torpeza en los movimientos, entumecimiento, hormigueo, temblores, estomatitis, salivación, orina oscura, visión borrosa, trastornos menstruales, la disfunción sexual. Esto no es una lista completa de todos los posibles efectos secundarios. Otros pueden ocurrir en algunos pacientes y puede haber algunos efectos secundarios que no se conocen todavía. En caso de que ha experimentado efectos secundarios no mencionados anteriormente, notifique inmediatamente a su médico o al centro de intoxicaciones local.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Este medicamento es capaz de interactuar con una clase de los medicamentos de primera línea como la isoniazida y la segunda línea contra la tuberculosis agentes (que se aplica en el caso de los medicamentos de primera línea no se puede utilizar) como la cicloserina que aumenta el riesgo de convulsiones. Debilitantes tranquilizantes, analgésicos narcóticos, los medicamentos aplicados para el tratamiento de los trastornos del sueño, los medicamentos antipsicóticos como la clorpromazina, antidepresivos tricíclicos como la amitriptilina, la primera generación de antihistamínicos como la difenhidramina, relajantes musculares y medicamentos anticonvulsivos pueden provocar somnolencia severa.
Dosis omitida
Si usted ha omitido una dosis, tómela tan pronto como sea posible. En caso de que sea casi la hora para la siguiente dosis, no tome la dosis olvidada y mantener su horario de dosificación normal. Evite compensar la dosis olvidada mediante la adopción de uno extra.
Sobredosis
Si usted cree que una sobredosis del medicamento, comuníquese inmediatamente con su centro local de envenenamiento y notifique a su médico o farmacéutico. Haga esto aun cuando no hay signos de malestar o intoxicación. Es posible que necesite atención médica urgente.
Almacenaje
Almacene este producto lejos de fuentes de luz del sol, el calor y la humedad a temperatura ambiente entre 59-77 F (o 15-25 grados C). No lo guarde en el baño. Mantenga este producto fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas. No aplique los restos de la medicación después de la fecha de caducidad.
