LINEZOLIDA é um antibiótico. Mata ou para o crescimento de certas bactérias. Este medicamento é usado para tratar muitos tipos de infecções bacterianas do sangue, pulmões, e pele. Não funciona em constipações, gripe, ou outras infecções virais.
O que devo dizer ao meu médico antes de tomar este medicamento?
Ele precisa de saber se tem alguma destas condições:
- cancro
- doença cardíaca
- pressão arterial elevada
- doença nos rins
- fenilcetonúria
- feocromocitoma
- doença da tiróide não tratada
- uma reacção alérgica ou rara a linezolida, outros antibióticos ou medicamentos, alimentos, corantes, ou conservantes
- se está grávida ou a tentar engravidar
- se está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Tome este medicamento por via oral com um copo de água. Tome o medicamento respeitando intervalos regulares. Não tomar o medicamento mais vezes do que o prescrito. Tome o medicamento como lhe foi receitado mesmo que pense estar melhor. Não saltar doses ou para de tomar o medicamento demasiado cedo.
Fale com o seu pediatra sobre o uso deste medicamento em crianças. Este medicamento pode ser receitado a crianças tão novas quanto recém-nascidos para razões especificas, cuidados especiais podem ser necessários.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior ao prescrito contacte o Centro de Informação Antivenenos ou os Serviços de Urgência de imediato.
NOTA: Este medicamento é apenas para si. Não o partilhe com outros.
Que fazer se falhei uma toma?
Se se esquecer de uma dose, tome-a o mais rapidamente possível. Se for quase altura da sua próxima dose, use apenas essa. Não redobre a dose ou use doses extra.
O que pode interferir com este medicamento?
Não tome este medicamento com nenhum dos seguintes:
- furazolidona
- chá verde
- MAOIs como Carbex, Eldepryl, Marplan, Nardil, e Parnate
- procarbazina
- triptofano
Este medicamento pode também interagir com os seguintes:
- comprimidos dietéticos, estimulantes ou anfetaminas
- medicamentos para alergias ou constipações como fenilpropanolamina, pseudoefedrina
- medicamentos para a pressão arterial
- medicamentos para a depressão, ansiedade, ou distúrbios psicóticos
- St. John's wort

Não trate diarreia com produtos sem receita médica. Contacte o seu médico se tiver diarreia que dure mais de 2 dias ou se a diarreia é grave e líquida.
Que efeitos secundários posso notar com a toma deste medicamento?
Efeitos secundários que deve reportar ao seu médico de imediato:
- reacções alérgicas, como erupção cutânea, comichão ou urticária, inchaço na cara, lábios, ou língua
- problemas respiratórios
- ardor, dormência, ou formigueiro
- alterações na visão
- confusão, agitação
- boca descolorida, dor na boca
- febre
- batimento cardíaco e pressão arterial irregulares
- convulsões

- cansaço ou fadiga anormais

Onde devo guardar o meu medicamento?
Mantenha-o fora do alcance das crianças.
Após este medicamento ser misturado pelo seu farmacêutico, guardar a uma temperatura entre os 15 e os 30 graus C (59 e 86 graus F). Manter o recipiente bem fechado para proteger da luz e humidade. Deitar fora qualquer medicamento que não tenha sido usado após 21 dias.
