La venlafaxina è un antidepressivo appartenente ad un gruppo di farmaci chiamati inibitori della ricaptazione della serotonina-norepinefrina (SNRI). Il farmaco è usato nel trattamento di gravi disturbi depressivi, ansia e attacchi di panico.
Indicazioni
Prendere il farmaco esattamente come prescritto dal medico. Il medico volendo può modificare la dose per ottenere risultati migliori. Effexor Xr può essere assunto a stomaco vuoto o pieno . Non schiacciare, masticare, o rompere la compressa. Ingoiare la compressa per intera. Seguire le istruzioni del medico.
Precauzioni
Evitare di utilizzare il farmaco se si soffre di allergia,confusione ,disturbi epatici o renali o se si è incinta o in periodo di allattamento. Persone di età avanzata possono essere più sensibili agli effetti collaterali del farmaco.
Controindicazioni
Le persone allergiche alla venlafaxina,le donne incinte e i bambini non possono assumere questo farmaco.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza se si hanno conati di vomito, febbre o diarrea, ansia, visione offuscata. Consultare il proprio medico o farmacista per ulteriori informazioni.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Prima di utilizzare il farmaco, si informi il medico se si utilizzano regolarmente farmaci che possono indurre sonnolenza, dolore, artrite, febbre, o gonfiore come MAO-inibitori, farmaci antiaritmici, antipsicotici e antagonisti del recettore H2, inibitori selettivi della ricaptazione della serotonina (SSRI). Consultare il proprio medico o farmacista per ulteriori informazioni.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
I sintomi da sovradosaggio possono includere:debolezza,dolore toracico, battito cardiaco irregolare o capogiri. Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza.
Conservazione
Conservare i farmaci a temperatura ambiente tra i 68-77 gradi F (20-25 gradi C). Conservare lontano da umidità e luce e fuori dalla portata di bambini ed animali domestici.
