Informations générales
Zyprexa est un antipsychotique atypique. Son composant principal est l'olanzapine. Le médicament est prescrit pour le traitement de la schizophrénie et des troubles bipolaires.
Posologie
Il est recommandé de prendre le médicament suivant la prescription de votre médecin. Prenez-le avec un verre d'eau, avec ou sans nourriture. Ne pas excéder la dose prescrite.
Précautions
Avant de commencer votre traitement au Zyprexa, veuillez informer votre médecin de tous vos états de santé, et en particulier des renseignements sur les problèmes d'allergie, de foie, des yeux et des reins, de troubles bipolaires. Evitez la consommation d'alcool et de tabac. Les personnes d’age moyen peuvent être plus sensibles au médicament.
Contre-indications
Les femmes enceintes et celles en période d’allaitement au sein, les enfants et les patients présentant une hypersensibilité au Zyprexa doivent éviter l’utilisation du médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires peuvent être les suivants: siccité de la bouche, vertiges, irritabilité, somnolence, insomnie, rétention urinaire. Des effets secondaires graves sont rares. Si vous présentez des effets indésirables non mentionnés ci-dessus, veillez contacter votre médecin.
Interaction des médicaments
Zyprexa peut avoir une interaction avec les médicaments suivants: les antibiotiques, les phénothiazines, les médicaments de traitement du diabète, une pression sanguine élevée, les médicaments, l'oméprazole, les médicaments de traitement de la maladie de Parkinson, la fluvoxamine.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose omise dès que possible. S'il est presque l’heure de la prochaine prise, il suffit de sauter la dose omise et de revenir à votre horaire habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez avoir pris une surdose du médicament, demandez une aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage sont des douleurs thoraciques, des nausées, des battements cardiaques irréguliers, et une sensation de tête légère ou de l’évanouissement.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 68-77 °F (20-25 °C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité.
