Precauciones
Antes de tomar Rebetol debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene enfermedad renal o hepática, hepatitis B, enfermedad de la sangre de células, el cáncer, psoriasis, diabetes, sarcoidosis, enfermedad de la tiroides, virus de la hepatitis B o el virus de inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH o SIDA), el corazón la adicción a tratar la enfermedad, la presión arterial alta, ataques al corazón, la depresión o el suicidio, las drogas o el alcohol, el hígado o el trasplante de otros órganos. Este medicamento puede causar mareos o visión borrosa. No conduzca o realice tareas que requieren vigilancia. Levántese despacio y constante para evitar que se caiga. Limite el consumo de las bebidas alcohólicas. El alcohol puede aumentar el riesgo de daño a su hígado. Contraindicaciones
Usted no debe tomar Rebetol si usted es alérgico a la ribavirina, o si tiene alguna enfermedad grave del hígado, hepatitis autoinmune, trastorno de hemoglobina (anemia), talasemia (anemia mediterránea), anemia de células falciformes, o si usted está embarazada o amamantando, o un hombre cuya pareja femenina sexual está embarazada.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si usted tiene náusea, diarrea, malestar estomacal, dolor de cabeza, mareos, visión borrosa, dificultad para dormir, fiebre, escalofríos, dolor de garganta, dolores musculares, tos, pérdida de cabello, poco apetito, pérdida o ganancia de peso, piel seca, y cambios en el gusto o el oído, latidos cardíacos rápidos o irregulares, debilidad, cansancio inusual, dificultad para respirar, dolor en las articulaciones, orina oscura, coloración amarillenta de los ojos o la piel, cambios en la visión, dolor en el pecho, erupción cutánea, hinchazón de la cara, lengua, garganta, picazón , diarrea de sangre, heces de color negro, vómitos, problemas para dormir (insomnio), alucinaciones. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, consulte a su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: zalcitabina, abacavir, lamivudina, didanosina, estavudina, tenofovir, zidovudina. La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico acerca de todos los medicamentos, de venta libre, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que está tomando.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son sangrado, orinar menos de lo normal, dolor en el pecho, sensación de pesadez, dolor que se extiende al brazo u hombro, náusea, sudoración, sensación de malestar general.
Almacenaje
