Zovirax (Acyclovir)
Información general
Zovirax es un medicamento antiviral. Se ralentiza el crecimiento y la propagación del virus del herpes para que el cuerpo pueda combatir la infección. Zovirax no cura el herpes, pero puede disminuir los síntomas de la infección.
Instrucciones
Zovirax se puede tomar con o sin comida. La dosis es de 200 mg cada 4 horas, cinco veces al día durante diez días. Si se utiliza para el tratamiento del herpes, la dosis debe ser para los adultos de 400 mg dos veces al día durante 1 año. Llame a su médico por asesoramiento médico.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Zovirax, dígale a su médico si usted tiene enfermedad del riñón o del hígado y está embarazada o planea quedar embarazada durante el tratamiento. Evite el contacto con los ojos.
Contraindicaciones
No tome Zovirax si usted es alérgico y tiene una enfermedad renal.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si usted tiene una reacción alérgica a Zovirax: fiebre ortiga, dificultad para respirar o tumor de la piel, la enfermedad, mareos, dolor de cabeza. Llame a su médico por asesoramiento médico si tiene los efectos secundarios.

Sobredosis
