Effexor (Venlafaxine)

La venlafaxina è un antidepressivo appartenente ad un gruppo di farmaci chiamati inibitori della ricaptazione della serotonina-norepinefrina (SNRI). Effexor agisce sulle sostanze chimiche del cervello che possono essere instabili e di conseguenza causare la depressione. Il farmaco viene somministrato per il trattamento di gravi disturbi depressivi, ansia e attacchi di panico.
Indicazioni
Prendere Effexor esattamente come gli è stato prescritto dal medico. Assumere con un bicchiere d'acqua a stomaco pieno o vuoto. Inghiottire la capsula per intera senza schiacciarla o masticarla. Continuare a usare il farmaco secondo le istruzioni, anche se ci si sente bene.
Precauzioni
Le persone con allergia a venlafaxina o che soffrono di disturbo bipolare, malattie epatiche o renali o agli occhi non devono assumere Effexor. Evitare di utilizzare il farmaco in caso di gravidanza.
Controindicazioni
Evitare l'uso di Effexor in caso di gravidanza o se il bambino presenta sintomi allergici.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Il farmaco può causare febbre, confusione, polso irregolare, inquietudine, offuscamento della vista o conati di vomito. Chiamare il proprio medico per un consiglio medico circa gli effetti collaterali.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Informare il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso. Venlafaxina può interagire con: MAO inibitori (tranilcipromina, isocarboxazid, Furazolidone, ecc), farmaci antiaritmici (chinidina, Propafenone), antipsicotici (Fluphenazine) o dantagonisti del recettore H2 (Nizatidine, cimetidina, ecc.) Consultare il proprio medico o farmacista per ulteriori informazioni.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio possono includere:debolezza o stanchezza, battito cardiaco irregolare,capogiri, svenimenti o dolori al petto.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 68-77 gradi F (20-25 gradi C). Conservare lontano da umidità e luce. Tenere fuori dalla portata di bambini ed animali domestici.
