Flovent (Fluticasone)
Informations générales
Flovent est un corticostéroïde. Il agit en réduisant les réactions inflammatoires dans les voies respiratoires en réponse aux allergènes et aux irritants dans l'air. Il est utilisé pour prévenir les crises d'asthme bronchique. Il n’est pas utilisé pour traiter une crise d'asthme qui s'est déjà déclarée.
Posologie
Ne prenez le médicament que si votre médecin vous l’a prescrit avec la dose appropriée. La dose peut varier selon l'âge et le type de votre asthme. Il faut bien agiter l’inhalateur avant utilisation. Afin de faire pénétrer le plus possible dans les poumons le médicament que vous inhalez, demandez à votre médecin de la bonne technique à employer. Tenez-le loin de votre visage et des yeux. La dose recommandée pour les adultes et les enfants de plus de 12 ans est de 44 mcg deux fois par jour. La dose pour les enfants de moins de 12 ans est de deux inhalations de Flovent 44 mcg deux fois par jour. Vos besoins de dosage peuvent changer si vous avez une opération chirurgicale, si vous êtes malades, si vous êtes soumis à un stress, ou si vous venez d’avoir une crise d'asthme.
Précautions
Il est important que ce médicament soit utilisé exactement comme prescrit par votre médecin, car ce médicament peut influer sur la croissance normale des enfants. L’administration continue du médicament peut provoquer l'ostéoporose, surtout si vous fumez ou si vous n’obtenez pas suffisamment de vitamine D.
Contre-indications
Vous ne devez pas utiliser Flovent si vous êtes allergique à la fluticasone. Ne le prenez pas si une crise d'asthme s'est déjà déclarée.
Effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires les plus répandus sont: urticaire, difficultés respiratoires, gonflement, faiblesse, fatigue, nausées, vomissements, éruption cutanée, ecchymoses, picotements sévères, engourdissement, douleur, faiblesse musculaire, douleurs oculaires ou des halos autour des lumières, fièvre, frissons, maux de gorge, douleur à l'oreille, des symptômes de grippe, respiration sifflante ou des symptômes d'asthme.
Interaction des médicaments
Ne prenez pas le médicament avec l'aldesleukine et la mifépristone.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Le surdosage de Flovent ne provoquera pas des symptômes menaçant la vie. Pourtant, l'utilisation à long terme de fortes doses de stéroïdes peut entraîner des symptômes tels que l’amincissement de la peau, des ecchymoses, des changements de la forme ou la localisation de la graisse corporelle (en particulier sur votre visage, le cou, le dos et la taille), l’augmentation de l’acné ou des poils du visage, l'impuissance ou la perte d'intérêt pour les rapports sexuels.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. S'il est presque temps pour votre prochaine dose, sautez la dose oubliée et reprenez votre horaire habituel. Ne prenez pas des doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante entre 15-25 ° C (59-77 F). Conservez-le à l’abri de l'humidité et de la lumière. Jetez-le après la date d’expiration.
