Instrucciones
Tome Coreg exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Tome este medicamento por vía oral con alimentos, generalmente dos veces al día. La dosis inicial recomendada para el tratamiento de la insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva es de 3,125 mg, dos veces al día. La dosis inicial recomendada después de un ataque al corazón es de 6,25 mg, dos veces al día. No debe dejar de Coreg sin antes haberlo consultado con su médico. Suspensión repentina del medicamento aumenta el riesgo de efectos secundarios graves.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Coreg debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene una reacción alérgica a los bloqueadores beta, el asma, bradicardia sinusal, insuficiencia cardíaca severa, problemas respiratorios (bronquitis, enfisema), diabetes, problemas de circulación sanguínea, enfermedad renal, feocromocitoma, miastenia. Este medicamento puede causar mareos o somnolencia. No conducir o realizar tareas que requieren vigilancia.
Contraindicaciones
No utilice Coreg si usted está embarazada o dando de lactar o si tiene alergia a cualquier componente de la droga.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si se presenta hinchazón de su cara, latidos cardíacos lentos o irregulares, entumecimiento, urticaria, dolor de pecho, hinchazón de la cara, labios, piel pálida, azúcar en la sangre, visión borrosa, aumento de orina, boca seca, respiración sibilante. Coreg efectos secundarios de menor gravedad pueden incluir: tos, dolor en las articulaciones, vómitos, diarrea, somnolencia, mareos, náuseas, disminución del deseo sexual, impotencia. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, consulte a su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos

La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son desmayos, mareos, dificultad para respirar, convulsiones, latidos cardíacos irregulares, debilidad.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-86 grados F (15-30 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad. Guárdelo en un recipiente hermético.
