Instrucciones
Tome Hytrin exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. La dosis recomendada en adultos para la presión arterial alta comienza en 1 mg al acostarse y se incrementa lentamente hasta que la respuesta de la presión arterial deseada. Los rangos de dosis habitual son de 1 mg a 5 mg diarios. La dosis recomendada en adultos para el tratamiento del agrandamiento de la próstata comienza en 1 mg al acostarse, con incrementos a intervalos semanales de 2 mg, 5 mg o 10 mg una vez al día para lograr la mejora deseada de los síntomas. Si le produce malestar estomacal, puede tomarlo con alimentos o leche.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Hytrin usted debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene presión arterial baja, desmayo, el cáncer de próstata, la próstata o problemas de vejiga, enfermedad del hígado. Este medicamento puede causar mareos o somnolencia. No conduzca o realice tareas que requieren vigilancia. Limite el consumo de las bebidas alcohólicas. El alcohol puede aumentar algunos de los efectos secundarios.
Contraindicaciones
Usted no debe tomar Hytrin si usted es alérgico a la terazosina o a cualquiera de los medicamentos quinazolina tipo. Deje que su médico sepa si está embarazada o amamantando.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: medicamentos para problemas de erección masculina (tadalafilo, vardenafilo, sildenafilo), medicamentos para la presión arterial (verapamilo, metoprolol, bumetanida, triamtereno), alfa-bloqueantes (alfuzosina, tamsulosina), relajantes musculares ( carisoprodol), analgésicos narcóticos (codeína, morfina), medicamentos psiquiátricos (clorpromazina, amitriptilina). La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico sobre todos los medicamentos, de venta libre-, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que está tomando.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son: mareos, desmayo, respiración superficial, pulso débil pero rápido, y piel fría y sudorosa.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 68-77 grados F (20-25 grados C) lejos de la luz, el calor y la humedad. No guarde los medicamentos en el cuarto de baño. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
