Ele precisa de saber se tem alguma destas condições:
- anterior inchaço da língua, face, lábios ou dificuldade em respirar, dificuldade em engolir, rouquidão, ou aperto na garganta
- insuficiência cardíaca
- doença renal
- doença hepática
- tem uma dieta especial, como uma dieta baixa em sal
- reacção alérgica ou anormal ao telmisartan, outros medicamentos, alimentos, corantes, ou conservantes
- se está grávida ou a tentar engravidar
- se está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Tome este medicamento por via oral com um copo de água. Pode tomar este medicamento com ou sem alimentos. Tome a sua dose em intervalos regulares. Não tome o medicamento mais do que indicado.
Fale com o seu pediatra quanto à utilização deste medicamento em crianças. Cuidados especiais podem ser necessários.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior ao prescrito contacte o Centro de Informação Antivenenos ou os Serviços de Urgência de imediato.
NOTA: Este medicamento é apenas para si. Não o partilhe com outros.
Que fazer se falhei uma toma?
Se falhar uma dose, tome-a o mais cedo possível. Se estiver quase na hora de tomar a próxima dose, tome apenas essa. Não tome doses duplas ou extras.
Com que pode interagir este medicamento?
- digoxina
- sais ou suplementos de potássio
- varfarina
Dê ao seu médico uma lista de todos os medicamentos que está a tomar, incluindo medicamentos sem receita médica, suplementos nutricionais ou ervas. Diga-lhe também se fuma, bebe álcool, ou usa drogas ilegais. Alguns destes podem interferir com o seu medicamento. Que cuidados devo ter enquanto tomar este medicamento?
Visite o seu médico para um controlo regular do seu progresso. Verifique a tensão arterial como indicado. Pergunte ao seu médico como deve ser a sua tensão arterial, e quando deve entrar em contacto com ele. Contacte o seu médico se verificar batimentos cardíacos rápidos ou irregulares.
As mulheres devem informar o seu médico se pretendem engravidar ou pensam estar grávidas. Existe um potencial para ocorrerem efeitos secundários graves num nascituro. Contacte o seu médico ou farmacêutico para mais informações.
Pode ficar sonolento ou com tonturas. Não conduza, utilize máquinas, ou faça qualquer coisa que precise de atenção mental até que saiba como este medicamento o afecta. Não se levante ou sente rapidamente, especialmente se for um paciente mais velho. Este comportamento reduz o risco de ter tonturas ou desmaios. Álcool pode torná-lo mais sonolento ou com tonturas. Evite bebidas alcoólicas.
Evite substitutos do sal, a menos que o contrário seja aconselhado pelo seu médico.
Não se auto-medique para tratar a tosse, constipações, ou dor enquanto toma este medicamento sem se aconselhar com o seu médico. Alguns componentes podem aumentar a sua tensão arterial.
Que efeitos secundários posso notar com a toma deste medicamento?

- urina escura
- dor da gota
- dores musculares
- batimento cardíaco lento

Efeitos secundários que normalmente não requerem atenção médica (diga ao seu médico ou profissional de saúde se persistem, ou se são incómodos):
- dores de coluna
- alteração do desempenho sexual
- diarreia
- dor de garganta ou nariz entupido

Onde devo guardar o meu medicamento?
Mantenha-o fora do alcance das crianças.
