Se utiliza para tratar la angina (dolor de pecho) en relación con la enfermedad arterial coronaria y la hipertensión (presión arterial alta). También se utiliza para tratar o prevenir un ataque al corazón, dolor de cabeza de migraña y algunos tipos de temblores.
Instrucciones
Tome Toprol Xl exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Usted debe tomarlo con una comida a la misma hora cada día. Usted no debe dejar de tomar Toprol XL sin antes haberlo consultado con su médico. La dosis diaria máxima recomendada de Toprol XL es de 400 mg. Su médico puede aumentar o disminuir la dosis según sea necesario.
Precauciones
Dígale a su médico sobre todos los medicamentos que esté tomando, incluyendo medicamentos recetados y sin receta, antiácidos, vitaminas y suplementos herbales. Si usted va a una operación, el cirujano debe saber que usted está tomando Toprol Xl. Beber alcohol puede aumentar ciertos efectos secundarios de Toprol Xl.
Contraindicaciones

Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Toprol XL puede interactuar con: alfa-bloqueantes (alfuzosina, doxazosina, fentolamina, etc), los bloqueadores de los canales del calcio (verapamilo, nifedipino, felodipino, etc) que puede causar una presión arterial peligrosamente baja, los antidepresivos (citalopram, fluoxetina, tranilcipromina, etc .), medicamentos para la arritmia (lidocaína, disopiramida, quinidina), fármacos antiinflamatorios no esteroideos (AINE): El ibuprofeno, meloxicam, diclofenaco. Los AINE pueden disminuir la presión arterial efectos de Toprol Xl.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis

Almacenamiento
