Zestril est dans un groupe de médicaments appelés les inhibiteurs de l'ECA. Les inhibiteurs de l'ECA est l'abréviation pour les inhibiteurs de l'enzyme de conversion de l'angiotensine. Il est utilisé pour traiter l'hypertension artérielle, l’insuffisance cardiaque congestive et pour améliorer la survie après cela.
Posologie
Suivez les instructions sur l’étiquette de votre prescription. Zestril peut être pris avec ou sans repas une fois par jour à la même heure. Vous ne pouvez prendre Zestril qu’environ une heure après vous avez pris les antiacides.
Précautions
N’utilisez pas Zestril si vous êtes enceinte. Il pourrait nuire au bébé à naître. La consommation d'alcool peut abaisser votre pression artérielle et peut augmenter certains des effets secondaires. Buvez beaucoup d'eau chaque jour pendant que vous prenez ce médicament. N’utilisez pas Zestril si vous êtes allergique au lisinopril ou à tout autre IEC.
Contre-indications
Évitez d'utiliser le médicament si vous avez une allergie, un angiœdème ou si vous êtes enceinte.
Effets secondaires possibles
Zestril peut provoquer le sentiment de perte de conscience, des mictions plus ou moins fréquentes que d'habitude, la fièvre, des symptômes de grippe, une faiblesse musculaire, des battements cardiaques irréguliers, une douleur thoracique, une prise de poids rapide, des étourdissements, une somnolence, des maux de tête, une humeur dépressive, des maux d'estomac ou la jaunisse si vous avez des problèmes hépatiques. Consultez votre médecin pour un avis médical sur les effets secondaires.
Interaction des médicaments
Évitez d'utiliser Zestril avec un supplément de potassium ou des substituts de sel contenant du potassium ou des injections d'or qui peuvent provoquer un écoeurement, des nausées ou une pression artérielle basse.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence si vous pensez que vous avez utilisé trop de médicament. Les symptômes du surdosage peuvent inclure des étourdissements ou un écoeurement.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante entre 15-30 C (59-86 F). Conservez-le à l'écart de l'humidité et de la lumière. Gardez le flacon hermétiquement fermé lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé.
