Aggrenox contiene dos medicamentos: una dosis muy baja de aspirina (25 miligramos por comprimido) y el dipiridamol en una forma de liberación lenta. Este medicamento se usa para reducir el riesgo de accidente cerebrovascular en pacientes que han sufrido un ataque isquémico transitorio o un ictus previo, debido a un coágulo de sangre y se encuentran en alto riesgo de otro ataque.
Instrucciones
Tome Aggrenox exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Tome este medicamento por vía oral con o sin alimentos, generalmente una cápsula dos veces al día (mañana y tarde). Trague la cápsula entera. Tome cada dosis con un vaso lleno de agua.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Aggrenox usted debe hablar con su médico si tiene úlceras o sangrado estomacal, un trastorno hemorrágico, como hemofilia, enfermedades del corazón, insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva, infarto de miocardio reciente, enfermedad hepática, enfermedad renal, presión arterial baja, cierto problema muscular (miastenia grave), crecimientos en la nariz (pólipos nasales). El uso de alcohol y el tabaco puede aumentar el riesgo de sangrado estomacal. Limite el alcohol y dejar de fumar. Los niños y adolescentes no deben tomar aspirina si tienen varicela, gripe o cualquier enfermedad no diagnosticada, o si han recibido recientemente una vacuna. Los adultos mayores pueden ser más sensibles a los efectos secundarios de este medicamento.
Contraindicaciones
No utilice Aggrenox si usted es alérgico a la aspirina o dipiridamol, si está embarazada o amamantando o si usted tiene asma, pólipos nasales, o alergia a un AINE (antiinflamatorios no esteroideos-inflamatorios de drogas) como Motrin, Indocin, Voltaren, Toradol, Mobic, Relafen, Feldene, y otros.
Posibles efectos secundarios
Busque atención médica de emergencia si usted tiene dolor de cabeza, náuseas, ardor de estómago, sangrado de encías o la nariz, latidos cardíacos irregulares, orina oscura, color amarillento de los ojos o la piel, heces con sangre o negro, desmayos, color de piel pálida, debilidad inusual, vómito con sangre, de estómago persistente o dolor abdominal, dificultad para respirar, sudoración inusual, dificultad para hablar, cambios repentinos en la vista, confusión, hinchazón de la cara, lengua o garganta, erupciones, picazón, fiebre, zumbido en los oídos, dolor en las articulaciones, malestar estomacal, diarrea. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, póngase en contacto con su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: aspirina, no esteroides anti-inflamatorios no esteroideos (diclofenaco, naproxeno, ibuprofeno, indometacina), anticonvulsivos (oxcarbazepina, topiramato, fenitoína, carbamazepina), diuréticos (furosemida, torsemida, bumetanida ), betabloqueantes (propranolol, bisoprolol, metoprolol, atenolol), inhibidores de la colinesterasa (donepezilo, rivastigmina), IECA (lisinopril, captopril, ramipril, enalapril, benazepril), medicamentos para la gota (sulfinpirazona, probenecid), medicamentos orales para la diabetes, metotrexato , acetazolamida. La interacción entre dos medicaciones no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico o sobre todos los medicamentos, sin receta médica-, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que esté tomando.
Dosis omitida
Tome la dosis que olvidó tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que ha tomado mucho de la medicina busque ayuda médica de emergencia a la vez. Los síntomas de sobredosis son zumbidos en los oídos, sofocos, sudoración, inquietud, debilidad, mareos, latidos rápidos del corazón.
Almacenaje
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente, lejos de la luz y la humedad. No guarde los medicamentos en el cuarto de baño. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
