Actos è un farmaco da assumere per via orale per il diabete che aiuta a controllare i livelli di zucchero nel sangue. E' somministrato per le persone con diabete di tipo 2 (non insulino-dipendente). Il farmaco è a volte utilizzato in combinazione con insulina o altri farmaci come la glipizide, glibenclamide, metformina cloridrato.
Indicazioni
Prendere Actos esattamente come prescritto dal medico. Seguire le indicazioni sulla vostra etichetta di prescrizione. Il medico volendo può modificare la dose per ottenere risultati migliori.Il farmaco solitamente è da prendere sempre alla stessa ora una volta al giorno. Actos può essere assunto a stomaco vuoto o pieno. E' necessario controllare frequentemente il livello di zucchero nel sangue e recarsi spesso dal medico per una visita di controllo.
Precauzioni
Non dovreste usare Actos se siete allergici al pioglitazone, se soffre di grave insufficienza cardiaca , se avete il cancro della vescica, o se siete in uno stato di chetoacidosi diabetica. Chiamare il medico per il trattamento con questo farmaco e informarlo se si è incinta o se si sta pianificando una gravidanza durante il trattamento con Actos.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali che si manifestano più frequentemente sono:battito cardiaco irregolare,sudorazione,confusione,vertigini,debolezza,tremori e fame.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Informare il proprio medico circa tutti i farmaci che si stanno utilizzando, in particolare riguardo a farmaci contro il basso livello di zucchero nel sangue e prodotti naturali. Non usare contraccettivi che possono provocare la gravidanza.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose non appena possibile.Saltare la dose, se ormai è quasi tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. Il sovradosaggio può causare i classici sintomi del diabete:debolezza, visione offuscata, confusione, difficoltà a parlare, tremori, mal di stomaco e convulsioni.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente nella sua confezione a tenuta stagna e lontano da fonti d'umidità e di luce.
