Lozol (Indapamide)
Informazioni generali
Lozol è un diuretico tiazidico (pillola dell'acqua) che aiuta a prevenire che il corpo assorba troppo sale, che può causare ritenzione di liquidi. Lozol viene comunemente usato per trattare la pressione alta (ipertensione), la ritenzione idrica (edema) causata da insufficienza cardiaca congestizia (CHF). Ridurre la pressione arteriosa alta aiuta a prevenire ictus, attacchi cardiaci, e problemi renali. Diminuendo il quantitativo di sale e di liquidi del corpo si riducono il gonfiore ed i problemi respiratori causati da insufficienza cardiaca congestizia.
Indicazioni
Assumere Lozol esattamente come prescritto dal medico. La dose iniziale raccomandata per la pressione alta è di 1,25 mg da prendere una volta al giorno. Il medico può aumentare la dose se necessario, fino ad un massimo di 5 mg al giorno. La dose iniziale raccomandata per la ritenzione idrica causata dainsufficienza cardiaca congestizia è di 2,5 mg una volta al giorno. Se necessario, il medico può aumentare la dose fino ad un massimo di 5 mg una volta al giorno. Assumere Lozol per via orale a stomaco pieno o vuoto. Siccome Lozol aumenta la minzione, è consigliabile assumerlo al mattino.
Precauzioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento informare il proprio medico se si hanno:malattie epatiche, malattie renali, insufficienza renale, diabete, gotta, problemi di fluido o di elettroliti, eventuali allergie. Questo farmaco può provocare vertigini. Non guidare o svolgere attività che richiedono attenzione. Limitare l'assunzione di bevande alcoliche. Evitare che il vostro corpo si surriscaldi o si disidrati.
Controindicazioni
Evitare l'assunzione di Lozol se siete allergici ad esso,a indapamide, o ad un qualsiasi componente inattivo di questo farmaco, ai sulfonamidi, o se avete anuria. Lasciate che il vostro medico si occupi di voi se siete incinta o state allattando.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza se si hanno:vertigini, cefalea, diarrea, vomito, sudorazione, inusuali secchezza delle fauci, battito cardiaco irregolare, diminuzione della minzione, eruzioni cutanee, prurito, gonfiore del viso, della lingua, della gola, orticaria, dolori muscolari o debolezza. Se si notano altri effetti non elencati sopra, contattare il medico.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Si informi il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso, in particolare riguardo a:ACE-inibitori (lisinopril, captopril, ramipril, enalapril, benazepril), salicilati (aspirina), farmaci per il diabete, steroidi (prednisone, idrocortisone, prednisolone), farmaci per la pressione arteriosa (verapamil, metoprololo , bumetanide, triamterene), litio. Si noti inoltre che l'interazione fra due farmaci non necessariamente deve portare ad una sospensione dell'utilizzo di uno dei due farmaci. Si informi il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso compresi i farmaci da prescrizione,quelli da banco e i prodotti erboristici.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio sono:nausea, debolezza, vertigini, secchezza delle fauci, sete, dolore muscolare, debolezza.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 59-86 gradi F (15-30 gradi C) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità. Non conservare in bagno. Conservare il farmaco lontano dalla portata dei bambini e degli animali domestici.
