Prevacid appartient à un groupe de médicaments appelés les inhibiteurs de la pompe à protons. Le médicament diminue la quantité d'acide produite dans l'estomac. Il est utilisé pour traiter et prévenir les ulcères d'estomac et d'intestin, l'oesophagite érosive (endommagement de l'oesophage dû à l'acide gastrique), et d'autres conditions provoquées par l’excès d'acidité gastrique telles que le syndrome de Zollinger-Ellison.
Posologie
Précautions
Vous ne devez pas utiliser Prevacid si vous êtes allergique aux composants du médicament ou si vous avez une maladie du foie. Avisez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou prévoyez devenir enceinte pendant le traitement. N’utilisez pas Prevacid si vous allaitez un bébé.
Contre-indications
Avant d'utiliser le médicament, avertissez votre médecin si vous avez une réaction allergique aux composants du médicament, à l'amoxicilline ou à la clarithromycine.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez une réaction allergique à Prevacid, la constipation ou la diarrhée. Consultez votre médecin pour un avis médical sur les effets secondaires.
Interaction des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments que vous utilisez puisque il n'y a pas beaucoup de médicaments qui peuvent provoquer des effets secondaires.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Sudosage

Conservation
