Aricept (Donepezil)
Informazioni generali
Aricept migliora la funzione delle cellule nervose nel cervello. Agisce impedendo la rottura di una sostanza chimica chiamata acetilcolina. Le persone affette da demenza di solito hanno più bassi i livelli di questa sostanza chimica, importante per i processi di memoria, pensiero e ragionamento. E ' indicato per il trattamento di demenza, da lieve a moderata, causata dalla malattia di Alzheimer.
Indicazioni
Prendere Aricept regolarmente prima di andare a letto. Durante il primo mese la dose deve essere di 5 mg una volta al giorno che può incrementare di 10 mg al giorno. Evitare di deglutire la compressa intera, lasciarla sciogliere in bocca senza masticare.
Precauzioni
Prima di prendere Aricept, è necessario informare il proprio medico se si è allergici a qualsiasi medicinale o se si soffre di malattie croniche, problemi di minzione, asma, problemi di stomaco, epilessia o se si assumono NSAIDs (farmaci antinfiammatori non steroidei). Informare il proprio medico in caso di gravidanza o allattamento.
Controindicazioni
Non è consentito l’utilizzo del farmaco se si soffre di reazione allergiche a donepezil e ai derivati della piperidina.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Allergia, gonfiore, mal di testa, vertigini, tosse con sangue, minzione difficile e apoplessia.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Proibitiva sostanza del citocromo, induttori (etanolo). Imprevedibile effetto. Il rischio di reazioni avverse cresce quando Aricept è usato insieme a farmaci e NSAIDs (farmaci antinfiammatori non steroidei).
Dose mancata
Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere una dose extra del medicinale per compensare la dose dimenticata.
Overdose
L'overdose può causare un allargamento (rigonfiamento) della prostata, disturbi cronici, vertigini, asma, disturbi allo stomaco, problemi nella gravidanza o disturbi convulsivi come per esempio l'epilessia. Informare immediatamente il medico.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 15-30 gradi °C (59-86 gradi F). Conservare lontano da umidità e luce.
