Indinavir (Indinavir Sulfate)

Instrucciones
Tome indinavir exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Tome este medicamento por vía oral con un vaso lleno de agua con el estómago vacío (al menos 1 hora antes o 2 horas después de comer), por lo general 3 veces al día. Beba por lo menos 6 vasos de agua u otros líquidos durante el día para disminuir el riesgo de cálculos renales. La dosis recomendada de indinavir para tratar a adultos con VIH o SIDA es de 800 mg (dos cápsulas de 400 mg) cada ocho horas. Si usted está tomando ciertos medicamentos, una dosis más baja puede ser recomendada. La dosis recomendada para personas con enfermedad hepática es de 600 mg cada ocho horas.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar indinavir debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene cálculos renales, enfermedad hepática, insuficiencia hepática, cirrosis, hepatitis, diabetes, hemofilia, enfermedad de la arteria coronaria, infarto de miocardio, enfermedad renal, insuficiencia renal, los niveles altos de grasa en la sangre, cualquier alergia. El tomar indinavir no evitará que le pase el VIH a otras personas a través del sexo sin protección o compartir agujas. Los niños pueden ser más sensibles a los efectos secundarios de este fármaco.
Contraindicaciones
No tome indinavir si usted es alérgico al indinavir oa cualquier otro ingrediente de este medicamento o si está tomando alguno de los siguientes medicamentos: alprazolam, amiodarona, astemizol, cisaprida, derivados de la ergotamina, midazolam, pimozida, terfenadina, triazolam. Dígale a su médico si está embarazada o dando de lactar.
Posibles efectos secundarios
Busque atención médica de emergencia si usted tiene la piel seca o con picor, dolor abdominal o de estómago, dificultad para dormir, el reflujo ácido, náuseas, ardor de estómago, diarrea, pérdida del apetito, orina con sangre, orinar con más frecuencia, urticaria, dificultad para respirar, hinchazón de la cara, labios, lengua, estreñimiento, mareos, debilidad, dolor de cabeza, somnolencia, erupción cutánea, vómitos, ictericia (coloración amarillenta de la piel o los ojos), fácil aparición de moretones, cambios de humor, sensación de cansancio, hinchazón, entumecimiento, pérdida de peso, heces pálidas, descamación, de vuelta dolor, escalofríos, fiebre, latidos rápidos del corazón, el abdomen hinchado. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, póngase en contacto con su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: medicamentos anticonvulsivos (fenitoína, felbamato, carbamazepina), el VIH / SIDA los medicamentos (nevirapina, lamivudina, zidovudina), medicamentos para problemas de erección en hombres (tadalafilo, vardenafilo, sildenafilo), la insulina, el corazón medicamentos ritmo (quinidina, disopiramida, amiodarona), ciclosporina, tacrolimus, medicamentos reductores del colesterol (fluvastatina, cerivastatina, simvastatina, lovastatina), antagonistas del calcio (nimodipina, verapamil, nifedipina), antidepresivos (fluoxetina, amitriptilina, citalopram, nortriptilina, doxepina ), antibióticos (claritromicina, telitromicina, eritromicina, claritromicina), medicamentos antifúngicos (fluconazol, ketoconazol, itraconazol), fluticasona. La interacción entre dos medicaciones no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico sobre todos los medicamentos, sin receta médica, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que esté tomando.
Dosis omitida
Tome la dosis que olvidó tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis

Almacenaje
