DINITRATO DE ISOSSORBIDA é um tipo de vasodilatador. Relaxa os vasos sanguíneos, aumentando o sangue e o oxigénio para o seu coração. Este medicamento é usado para prevenir a dor causada pela angina. Não contribuirá para parar um episódio de dor torácica.
O que devo dizer ao meu médico antes de tomar este medicamento?
Ele precisa de saber se tem alguma destas condições:
- ataque cardíaco ou falha cardíaca anterior
- reacção alérgica ou invulgar ao Dinitrato de isossorbida, nitratos, outros medicamentos, alimentos, corantes ou conservantes
- se está grávida ou a tentar engravidar
- se está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Tome este medicamento por via oral com um copo de água. Tome este medicamento com o estômago vazio, pelo menos 30 minutos antes ou 2 horas depois de comer. Não tome com comida. Tome o medicamento com intervalos regulares. Não tome com mais frequência que a prescrita. Não pare subitamente de tomar este medicamento ou os seus sintomas poderão agravar-se. Pergunte ao seu médico ou profissional de saúde como deve fazer para reduzir gradualmente as doses.
Fale com o seu pediatra quanto à utilização deste medicamento em crianças. Cuidados especiais podem ser necessários.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior ao prescrito contacte o Centro de Informação Antivenenos ou os Serviços de Urgência de imediato.
NOTA: Este medicamento é apenas para si. Não o partilhe com outros.
Que fazer se falhei uma toma?
Se falhou uma toma, tome-a assim que puder. Se estiver quase na altura de tomar a próxima dose, tome só essa dose. Não tome doses duplas ou doses extra.
O que pode interferir com este medicamento?
Não tome este medicamento com nenhum dos seguintes:
- medicamentos utilizados para tratar a disfunção eréctil (DE), como o sildenafil, tadalafil, e vardenafil
Este medicamento pode também interagir com os seguintes:
- medicamentos para tensão arterial elevada
- outros medicamentos para a angina ou insuficiência cardíaca
Esta lista pode não descrever todas as interacções possíveis. Indique ao seu médico ou profissional de saúde todos os medicamentos, ervas, medicamentos de venda livre, ou suplementos alimentares que usa. Diga-lhe também se fuma, se bebe, ou usa drogas ilegais. Não se levante nem sente depressa, especialmente se for um paciente idoso. Isso reduz o risco de tonturas ou desmaio. Álcool pode causar mais tonturas, aumentando o rubor e o batimento cardíaco. Evite bebidas alcoólicas.
Não trate tosse, constipações, ou dores enquanto estiver a tomar este medicamento sem consultar o seu médico ou profissional de saúde para obter orientação. Alguns ingredientes podem aumentar a sua pressão arterial.
Que efeitos secundários posso notar com a toma deste medicamento?
Efeitos secundários que deve reportar ao seu médico de imediato:
- descoloração azulada dos lábios, unhas, ou palmas das mãos
- batimento cardíaco irregular, palpitações
- tensão arterial baixa
- náuseas, vómitos
- dor de cabeça persistente
- cansaço invulgar ou fraqueza
Efeitos secundários que normalmente não requerem atenção médica (diga ao seu médico ou profissional de saúde se persistem, ou se são incómodos):
- rubor da face ou pescoço
- erupção

Onde devo guardar o meu medicamento?
Mantenha-o fora do alcance das crianças.
Mantenha-o num local com uma temperatura entre 15 e 30 graus C (59 e 86 graus F). Proteja-o da humidade. Deite fora medicamentos não utilizados após expirar o prazo de validade.
